My suggestion i’m making today is “Electric Legends of the Brighton Mainline.” It would be a loco pack featuring 2 British rail electric multiple units and 1 British rail diesel electric locomotive. The emus would be the BR Class 319 and BR class 442, and the loco would be the BR class 73. The class 319 was used on the Brighton mainline for many years running thameslink services. It is a dual voltage emu, built between 1987-1990 and entered service within the same years. They have a top speed of 100mph however they’ll only reach 90mph when running on the BML. In this pack it would come in the grey version of the network south east livery. This would give players the opportunity to make many of the other livery’s the 319 wore in it’s time of service with thameslink. The class 442, also known as plastic pigs, were also used on the BML for many years operating gatwick express services. Built between 1987-1989, entered service in 1988 and retired from gatwick operations in 2016. The 442 also has a top speed of 100mph, also only reaching 90mph when in service. In this loco pack the train would come in classic Network Southeast livery. The final loco/train in this pack is the BR Class 73, which is a diesel electric locomotive capable of running on both 750V DC and diesel power. The /0 were built in 1962 and the /1 between 1965 and 1967. They’re currently mainly used by GBRf on RHTT services and also SITT runs. However, they used to run gatwick express passenger services on the BML back in the 1980s. In this pack it would come in the BR Blue livery with large logo. Overall i think it would be a great pack to add to the game, adding more experience and enjoyment to the brighton mainline route as it’s fairly plain with its electrostars at the moment. Let me know what you think of this idea below
Excellent idea and if you want to keep this going Nahverkehr Dresden Deutsche Reichsbahn Deutschen Demokratischen Republik which is the German language name for the German Democratic Republic legends. How about go even older Add in 4CEP 2HAP 5BEL (familiar to a train simulator classic owner since it's a freeware) 4EPB 2EPB 4REP & 4VEP.
Only 1 loco in a loco pack lol. Locos take a while to make and dtg aren't going to sell 3 different trains and then sell it for the price of 1 lol. What dtg could do is to make the trains for a different route and then use an expansion pack to add in a separate timetable to bml. That's if the players actually want to buy it of course.
you say that but they’ve done similar before, with the legends of the great western pack and of course price it higher than just the one loco
Diesel legends only reused locomotives already in the game. But, I still like your suggestion and hope to see it happen someday.
Ok, then and I will send you an English Wiki article on Riesa Dresden Legends pack locomotives that can be a part of it. First up is DR Baureihe 119 U-Boat Shunter DR V60 Steam DR Baureihe 23.10 Electric DR BR211. I wonder if you are fine with older BML trains which are the 2PAN 4SUB 2NOL and 4COR
I agree with all three choices here, the 319 would be used for Thameslink, the 442 can substitute into the 387/2s' GX services and the 73 can either be used for GBRF RHTT services or loco-hauled GX services which would require a backdated timetable which this pack could come with, great suggestion
