    Hi,
I am on the Jersey scenario. I selected 'Quick drive'.
The model of the locomotive I don't exactly know, its the white one.
I was going fine along the route, when all the sudden I lost all power and the train stopped.,
I searched the net, and I saw some old posts saying that I should reset the levers and push the start engine again. I did that but it didn't change the situation.
    Can anyone help ?

    Thanks,
    Regards

Did you drive into an area without overhead electrification? They don't work without electric, easily done in QD.

    Which route are you using?

As mindenjohn says, if you run on to track without wires or third rail you will lose power completely and resetting of switches won't work. In real life you'd have to be hauled back onto the electrified section by a diesel.

Normally in QD the system won't let you drive an electric train somewhere there is no power.
Are you thinking of Free Roam?

Which loco? - If you don't know the type just tell use the number on the outside
If it was the ALP-45DP that is a Dual Mode loco which is a 45xx series and looks like this

If you drive past Long Branch Station you need to Lower the Pantograph and start the Diesel Engines

Some of these passenger locos on the American East coast have a complex signalling system, and when they go off and you don't acknowledge them, the train will stop. Without knowing what loco it is I'm afraid that is as far as I can help you. The manual for the loco would help you, so I suggest that you read that.

A similar one would be the Northeast Corridor - if you own any Metro-North DLC and drive the ACS-64 (which is predominantly white in Amtrak Phase 5), you may enter 3rd rail territory (the section near Grand Central).

Hmmmm, didn't know this one was electric and diesel, good to know. As for the electrification of the tracks, I stopped on a spot where there are overhead electric wires. As to the signaling, I am completely oblivious to that aspect of the game. Guess I shoud be eating my vegetables and reading the manual this night.
    Cheers
