Hi guys today I’m gonna be suggesting all Elizabeth line branches on the network, Well this suggestion will include Greater Anglia, GWR and Heathrow Express. Let’s start with the trains for the Elizabeth line This is the Class 345. The British Rail Class 345 Aventra is a fleet of electric multiple unit passenger trains built by Bombardier Transportation for use on London's Elizabeth line. Part of Bombardier's Aventra family of trains, the contract for their delivery was awarded as part of the Crossrail project in February 2014. ; (3 per side per car) Formation: 9 cars per unit; (See § Fleet details) Height: 3.760 m (12 ft 4.0 in) In service: 22 June 2017 – present Maximum speed: 90 mph (145 km/h) Weight: 319 tonnes (314 long tons; 352 short tons) This line has only been opened for a year and goes through London every 3 minutes. There are 2 different seating layouts on these trains if you look at the first and second picture. If you look at the picture these trains are completely walkthrough with 9 carriages which is quite surprising. These trains also feature smart led screens, it shows if there is any disruption on TFL journeys and it shows the upcoming stations, certain stations might not be on the screen, it’s to make more space for the screen so when you get closer to your destination that station will appear on the screen, it also shows what underground, overground, national rail services stop there.
Hasn't this route been suggested multiple times already, there is at least one thread on it running currently? https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tfl-elizebeth-line.71577/ Is it really necessary to keep spamming the same suggestion over and over again?
This is the drivers cab of the Class 345. As you can see above the door buttons on the left there are cameras that show when it’s safe to open the doors and close the doors to make everyone on the platform safe. This train features ATO but that’s only in use when it’s in the core section, when you outside to Shenfield, Reading or Heathrow you can drive manually. But between Shenfield and Paddington is actually ATO. But the rest of the line is Manual. Let’s start with the Branches on the line. The first branch is the Heathrow T4 to Abbey Wood line. This line goes from Heathrow T4 to Abbey Wood. This is Heathrow Terminal 4 station for the Heathrow T4 to Abbey Wood branch. Heathrow Terminal 4 is a railway station at Heathrow Terminal 4 served by the Elizabeth line. The separate Heathrow Terminal 4 tube stationon the Piccadilly line is adjacent to this station. Journeys to and from Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 railway station are free of charge and can be used by passengers changing terminals at Heathrow. This is Heathrow Terminals 2&3 Station on the T4 to Abbey Wood line. Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 railway station (also known as Heathrow Central) serves Terminal 2and Terminal 3 (and formerly Terminal 1 before its closure and replacement by Terminal 2 in 2015) [2] at London Heathrow Airport. It is served by Heathrow Express trains direct to central London and Elizabeth line trains that stop at local stations. It is 14 miles 50 chains (23.5 km) down-line from London Paddington. Transport for London Travelcards are not valid on Express services from the station, although they are valid on the Elizabeth line. Passengers transferring between any of the terminals at Heathrow may use the trains free of charge.
This is Hayes & Harlington Station for the T4 to Abbey Wood Branch. Hayes & Harlington is a railway station serving the west London districts Hayes and Harlingtonin the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is 10 miles 71 chains (17.5 km; 10.89 mi) down the line from London Paddington and is situated between Southall and West Drayton. It has long operated as a minor stop on the Great Western Main Line and is at the start of a spur to Heathrow Airport, to and from which passenger trains operate since the early 21st-century building of the spur which benefits from a flyover junction. The station is managed by Transport for London, with most services provided by the Elizabeth line, between London Paddington and Reading or Heathrow. This is Southall Station for the T4- Abbey Wood line. Southall (Punjabi: ਸਾਊਥਾਲ) is a railway station on the Great Western Main Line in Southall, London, England. It is in Travelcard Zone 4 and passenger services are provided by the Elizabeth line from London Paddington. It is 9 miles 6 chains (14.6 km) down the line from Paddington and is situated between Hanwell to the east and Hayes & Harlington to the west. The station is managed by Transport for London, and was rebuilt with step-free access as part of the Crossrail project.
This is Hanwell station. This is actually a heritage station dating back to 1838 but it got rebuilt to this design in 1877. Hanwell railway station serves Hanwell in the London Borough of Ealing. It is 7 miles 28 chains (11.8 km) down the line from London Paddingtonand is situated between West Ealing and Southall. All trains serving Hanwell are operated by the Elizabeth line, having taken over the Heathrow Connect stopping services between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport, and Great Western Railway local services between London Paddington and Hayes & Harlington from the 20 May 2018 timetable change. From the 17 May 2020 timetable change, Hanwell station gained a Sunday service.[4] In November 2021 the Ealing Civic Society recognized the quality of the renovations to the station building by awarding the station the society's annual award.[5][6]
This is West Ealing Station. West Ealing railway station is on the Great Western Main Line in Ealing, situated in west London. It is 6 miles 46 chains (10.6 km) down the line from London Paddington and is situated between Ealing Broadway to the east and Hanwell to the west. Its three-letter station code is WEA. Most trains serving the station are operated by the Elizabeth line running between Abbey Woodand Heathrow Terminal 4. Services on the Greenford branch line to Greenford are operated by Great Western Railway.
I mean, we continously get ECML and WCML suggestions so it's not rarity. It's annoying but unstoppable.
The route would look empty unless dovetail chose to make some Greater Anglia trains to run AI services on the east, and modern GWE trains for the west. It would be nice to see Elizabeth line trains work as an extra train add-on for a great eastern/great western mainline if it came in the future rather than it being its own route which covered both sides.
