Introduction Hello my suggestion for today is for an Elizabeth Line route that runs from Reading to Abby Wood that is operated by tfl I personally think this would be a great addition to the game as it is an interesting route with plenty of stops in-between. given that dovetail has a good relationship with TfL with the bakerloo line in the game and the upcoming London Overground route I think it's a no brainer. Rolling Stock Class 345 I'm not going to say that much the only thing I will say is this train as it is very similar to the London overground class 710. And that the trains are usually operated with 9 coaches. Route Information Route length:50 miles Route time: 1 hour 30 minutes Train you will use: TfL class 345 -Reading -Twyford -Maidenhead -Taplow -Burnham -Slough -Langlow -Iver -West Drayton -Hayes & Harlington -Southhall -Ealing Broadway -London Paddington -Bond Street -Tottenham Court Road -Farringdon -Liverpool Street -White Chapel -Canary Wharf -Custom House -Woolwich -Abbey Wood AI TfL class 345 GWR class 166 GWR class 43 HST Conclusion I think adding this as a dlc to the game just makes sense it's a very interesting route featuring the newest TfL line and it has both normal surface stations and stations that are underground making it a pretty unique service especially with it being the first TfL route starting at Reading. Thanks for reading
It's really unfortunate that DTG isn't planning on doing more with the existing GWE as now I think of it, this could be a good 'expansion pack'. If DTG are able to sort licensing with GWR again, maybe we could even see 80xs on the route. EDIT - Routed into the normal London Paddington station and terminating there of course.
Yeah I think if they can pull it off with an Elizabeth Line expansion they runs to Abbey Road that would be great considering they do have a great relationship with TfL
Which depot would you suggest should be included? Probably the new Old Oak Common? I'm not very familiar with the route so this may be an obvious question tbh. The main thing I am missing in Birmingham Cross City is the option to do depot moves.
Issues surrounding the GWR license aside, I can't see this happening. They don't generally recreate entire sections of a route as part of a new one.
I certainly possibly now that we’ve got the 710 but I think the section between Reading and Paddington would more that likely be left out.
I agree with that but guess you never know I think they will do it as matt has said before there are no plans but would love to do more tfl stuff
I think people would generally prefer a remake of GWE first because if we did have the Elizabeth line down to reading the 345 would be the only train on the route as the HSTs and 166s were replaced by 800s and 387s
Not completely you got it spot on with hst being replaced but class 166 is still a common sight there
In the event the GWE does get remade, I think it'd make sense to include this as well as the branch to Oxford in the western portion of the route - while the Elizabeth Line terminates at Reading, the original GWML route for TSC went out this far, and that addon came out over a decade and a half ago! I definitely think adding the Elizabeth Line is a great idea - as others have said, DTG seems to have a solid licensing agreement with Transport for London, so something like this should definitely be doable.
This all comes back to merges. Wouldn't it be fantastic if you could be driving your 345 along to paddington low level, and then continue on and it loaded the original GWE portion for you to continue along there (albeit with 'fake' OHL as that isn't modelled).
Yes that would be fantastic i think Elizabeth line will be next considering we are getting suffergate line with class 710
https://creatorsclub.dovetailgames.com/creations/98418 Appreciate this isn't 100% realistic with the 700 differing from the 345, but this may be something you'd like to use until the 710 releases.
This Is what I will say this is my timeline prediction for the realese March Roadmap stream: release date announced Early gameplay stream with matt: few days before realease My realese prediction is early to mid March
I hope your predictions are correct. When do they normally release roadmaps. I doubt there will be a London route except the suffragette line and Matt said that there is no plans for an Underground route for now. Hopefully more Overground or Elizabeth line
Yep as I've said before matt has hinted at future tfl routes in the stream back on Saturday he said he would like to do Elizabeth Line aswell at some point
I would dream of the Central line. It would provide an interchange at Oxford Circus for the bakerloo line. An interchange with GWE and more AI at leytonstone which you can see the Suffragette line. It is a great route aswell
I am assuming that he would like to create those routes. I wonder whether he actually means it when he says it though
The No what I mean by hint is that Matt mentioned he would like to do Elizabeth Line and other tfl etc he said there are no plans nut as far as we can tell there is definitely a lot of positive interest for more tfl stuff including underground In the future
I think he does especially considering the fact he's a rail enthusiast himself and also the strong relationship with tfl and dtg
That would be fantastic mate all the connections and stuff won't be doing a suggestion post for Central line as there is already a very well written one for that
As you say thatcwould provide great connections. I would dream of having it. Any underground line would be great. I think that we are most likely to get a sub-surface line which would be incredible as they use the S7 and S8 stock
If you think about it, technically u can remake GWE without licensing by building the Elizabeth line. Now, I could be wrong and that means im just saying daft words
