It be nice to see dtg use the amtrak train on other routes but since other routes may not have overhead power options what kind of locomotive could they replace the ASC64 with...New type or recycled type.? Because i know horseshoe curve has amtrak trains use it,But it's iffy if skyhook would ever add them later.
Outside the NEC, Amtrak trains would either be the P40DC/P42DC, P32AC-DM, SC-44 (State Corridor Trains) or the ALC-42 (Currently being tested). The P42's are what currently run on the HSC. The Amfleets could be recycled for HSC, but new stock would be needed for other routes.
