I've noticed with the Metrolink F125 suppression is between min reduction and full service, I'm not sure if this is a miss from DTG or if it is actually like this? I was a locomotive engineer for 10 years and have operated locomotives from 4-8-4 Steam engines to new ES44's and rode in passenger locomotives like amtrak and mp36s and everything ive ever seen, other than a locomotive with a 24L system, has been the conventional brake system like as follows: Release - Minimum Reduction - Service zone - Full Service - Suppression - Handle off - Emergency. Given I've never been inside a F125 or even seen a photo of the cab of one so I can't say if its actually like this but it seems odd that Suppression would be only been around 10lbs reduction and operating it would be annoying, like it is in the game, where your braking gets interrupted by the suppression notch. Anyone have some insight on this?
I couldn’t find any pictures of the cab to compare but I know the ACS 64 and Acela both have brake handles like this in game
I can confirm that it’s correct for the F125. The Suppression notch comes before Full Service. This type of brake system (which I believe is the same/similar to that used in the Siemens Chargers and other similar locos) goes Release - Min - Suppression - Full Service - Handle Off - Emergency
Interesting. I looked up photos of the alc42 cabs and you are right. Thats a strange braking system that must be passenger service specific
The Siemens ACS-64 is the same as well. I haven't seen any train in TSW that has Suppresion notch after Full Service.
