In TSW3 there used to be an option to Manually End a Service, has this been removed? I cannot find it anymore. Only interested in a response to my Question, not ways to End a Service which I already know.
If you are referring to the ability to let the AI finish a service for you partway through the journey, then there was never an official way to choose exactly when to end a service, apart from leaving the driver's seat and waiting for the option to give up a service to come up (which it sometimes never did). How did you find it in TSW3?
The only option is the one that appears if you leave the driver's seat for two minutes "Do you want to give up....". Nothing has changed from TSW3 to 5 in that respect.
There is a way to instigate it now as a by product of teleporting. Bring up the teleport menu, select anywhere, and it will first say "do you want to give up x service?" say yes. Then it will say "do you want o teleport?" and you can say no, and remain exactly where you are. You must be out of the seat to do this. Matt.
Thanks, thats actually helpful. Could this be further implemented ? Like an option in the Menu screen ? I think this would be more straightforward as i predict not everyone will see this "workaround"
Hi Matt, thanks for the response, however I asked for an answer to my Question, not ways I already know as I tried finding this out on the Steam Forums first, and instead of people just saying "yes you can", or "no you can't" I just kept getting things I already know that were not working. Teleporting didn't work, the Service wouldn't end, nothing worked that would have usually. Turned out the Service is just bugging out [go figure], so my only way to instigate it was to delete the Service entirely after my run. I'd post the Service number, but it's never going to be fixed, so I'd rather not waste anyone's time. Thanks.
Your assumption that there used to be a function in TSW3 is simply wrong, so the question itself is pointless.
Regardless on how I was doing it previously is one thing, but there is no pointless Questions in the world, especially when it brings something to the attention to a Developer. This is a feature that many people will want to see as people will generally just use God Mode to achieve just this, [hence why the option is right at the top in God Mode, it's a useful thing to have]. So if you find Questions pointless, nothing is stopping you from pointlessly wasting your time somewhere else.
The easiest wauy might simply be to duplicate the Return To Free Roam button from the service endscreen and put it on the pause screen, so that one can bail on a service at will.
Don't put words in my mouth. The question was why a TSW3 feature has been removed. That feature hasn't been there, so the question based on a wrong assumption is pointless. (As is the second paragraph, assuming we would know what ways of ending a service you know.) A bit weird. The suggestion to put it into the game like Godmode does is not pointless - but that wasn't the question you initially posed (which was a closed question).
I'm not sure why you're complaining - it was a confabulation on your end, there's no getting around that.
