The scenario itself is fine. But the situation comes once you return to Ryde Pier Head and are told to shut down the train. They tell you to set the master key lever to off. However, when you hover your cursor over the master key, it only allows you to enable or disable the master key and not turn off the lever itself. I thought it was physically impossible to fix it until I found a video on how to get around this issue. You have to move yourself a bit away from the master key (like on the other side of the driver seat), and then move close to the wall, and then it should let you. This means that the cause of the bug is the master key control switch to activate and deactivate it is blocking the ability to move the lever into the off position before removing it. This is probably the most major bug in IOW right now so fixing this would be very nice.
Hi there . Yep I’ve played that numerous times and it doesn’t let you shut down the cab with the TCS ( traction control switch ) . BUT , . . . . You can do something really sneaky and out wit the gameplay . when you get to Sandown , go as far as the shunt limit which is almost near the foot crossing as instructed . Then to save time , but the key in reverse and drive from the same cab in reverse carefully into the platform . STOP . Change ends as required . THEN , shut down the lead cab . Making sure you close the TCS lever and remove both keys . Run back to the REAR cab , open up as normal . Sit in the seat and put the reverser key into reverse . Shut the doors . Wind up slowly and follow the speed limits and signals and stops as normal . When you finally get to Ryde pier head , slow down and keep your eye on the distance marker to stop in the right place . Then ha ha ha , it will ask you to go to the LEAD cab . Then you can apply the handbrakes , Train brake and your done ! Good luck . Richard .
Yeah, it's because for some strange reason Rivet completely missed the point that you'd change cabs when having to go in the opposite direction so changing cabs at the head shunt screws the game up and locks the select point for the master control lever! Part of the reason that some players aren't that keen on Rivet games, another is they take ages to fix things like this if they ever fix it at all!
