Can anyone please help with this?

I have the AP Class 86 enhancement pack installed, and was making a custom train with an 86 and coaches.

I managed this without issue on my laptop, but when I try to load an ‘AP 86’ on the PC, none of the AP locos appear at at all.

I’m mystified as to why: have the exact same set up on both computers.

I’ve cleared the TS cache, but no luck. Should I reinstall the AP pack again and cross fingers?

Is there a way to sort this? TIA...

Meantime, I can load another 86....

ETA: I have the 47 enhancement pack too: same issue. I thought perhaps the picture just wasn’t loading in the Custom dialogue, so selected and saved. Thought maybe it would run, but got error loading game. :(

Just re-install the AP pack.. it takes seconds, and try again.

Does it matter the order you install AP items? On Steam it was suggested that you should install in this order:

“Install Extra stock first...then apply the main package..then apply the branding package(Branding Is optional)”.

Just you have created a Custom Consist on your Laptop does not automatically make it work on the PC.
Custom Consists are stored only on the PC where they were made.

You can easily see if the Class 86 works by placing one on the track.
They all have the letters (AP) after the in game name

    inversnecky,

Don’t know who suggested that but I believe it should be...

    1) Main Pack
    2) Extra Stock (if there is any)
    3) Branding Patch

I’ve always followed that guidance and it’s never let me down.

I was aware the files are stored locally. Just couldn’t understand why duplicate installs let to different results.

when I click on the AP versions, no preview appears in the window, so I can’t load it into a route.

I never really think about it, but generally do main item first, then stock... then branding... which if you think about it, makes logical sense.

It certainly does to me. Main item then options.

I reinstalled the 86 pack, saw the AP versions now appearing in the preview window, so hopefully that’s it sorted (will check fully later).

Don't think the "extra stock" matters as to when you install it as it doesn't affect the main package but installs other bits
Main then branding is fairly obvious
