    Hello,
    I have a route suggestion!

    The Route....

Enterprise: Cross Border - Dublin to Belfast

Dublin Connolly to Belfast Layon Place (Belfast Central), & Great Victoria Street.

The suggested route is the cross border route of Dublin's city centre station Dublin Connolly to Belfast's Layon Place station.

It is currently the only land rail based international border crossing in the UK.

It passes through six cities of Dublin, Dundalk, Drogheda, Newry, Lisburn & Belfast.

It is one of the oldest routes & service on the Island of Ireland.

The route had previously been simulated over twenty years ago on Microsoft Train Simulator (the grandparent of Train Sim World) by Making Tracks in their Enterprise series.
this was consisting of Enterprise: North - Belfast to Dundalk, Enterprise: South - Dundalk to Dublin Connolly & Tara Mines & Enterprise Expansion Pack with modern rolling stock.

    A route I dearly miss!

    Year set in....

I would suggest setting the route between 2011 & 2024.

The reason being is that the route, apart from small changes, hasn't overly changed much in that time period.

The changes that had been made were:
    - New station building at Portadown
    - New footbridge at Moria
    - Demolished stone bridge between Belfast & Newry
    - Name change of Belfast Central to Belfast Layon Place
    - New station signs across the Irish Rail network.

The other reasons I've chosen this timeline is that:
    - Belfast Great Victoria Street Station was still open
    - A larger variety of rolling stock for future releases
    - A larger variety of services

    What services could be included?

    - Enterprise Cross Border services
    - Morning & evening rushhour commuter services in Dublin
    - Dublin DART services
    - Morning & evening rushhour commuter services from Newry / Portadown to Belfast

Other services can be layered in with expansion packs, such as Tara mine freight services & permanent way engineering services.

    Included rolling stock....

I would suggest including three trains in the initial release.

    These would be:
    - Enterprise Alstom / DeDietrich Enterprise sets.
Consisting of the Driving trailer, intermediate trailers, the BREL MKIII generator & the EMD class 201 locomotive

    - Northern Ireland Railways CAF class 3000 - Three car DMU

    - Iarnród Éireann DART trains

    Room for expansion....

    - As a first Irish route, this can be used as a base to expand further across the island, including more Dublin based routes, more Belfast based routes & further beyond.

It also offers, just in this route alone, room for further rolling stock DLC.

    These can include the following:
    - Class 071 with freight & railtours
    - Class 29000 with commuter services & Enterprise sub.
    - Class 22000 with InterCity services & Enterprise sub
    - Class 111 with permanent way & railtours
    - Class 450 & class 80 DEMUs with commuter, railtours & permanent way
    - Class 4000 with commuter services

    And much more!

    An Irish route....

I think it's time after nearly 20 years of absence for come back to railway simulation for Ireland.

It was popular back then, it's definitely been requested many, many times before for TSC & now for TSW.

Everytime i post something on social media (or here) with a livery designer design based on something Irish, i always get comments saying an Irish route is needed.

The Trainz community have made Irish conent for years & is very popular.

    The demand is there.

(If it's guage stopping yall, we'll be okay if it were standard guage, lol)
