I am getting a popup error message that prevents PLAY of TSC both for 32 and 64 bit games. The error is as follows: ERROR: Could not find shader TrainBasicObjectDiffuse.fx FILE: DxC.Common\cHcEffectMaterilCx.cpp LINE:1101 I have verified the files, I have uninstalled/reinstalled. I have disabled Norton 365 firewall and antivirus But No Joy.. Train Sim World 3 runs normally. Does any body know of a fix?
Navigate to <where you installed steam>\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content and delete the PlayerProfiles.bin This should allow the game to boot in full screen mode for you to be able to make changes using the menu
Thank you. KTL_Rob Powell. That did the trick. Train Simulator Classic runs now from the PLAY button.
I never use the PLAY button in the Steam Console I made shortcuts to RailWorks.exe and RailWorks64.exe, which are in the Railworks folder, then copied them to the desktop That way I can choose 32bit or 64bit when starting TSC
I never use 32bit now, I guess my collection isn't old enough to having some content that only works in 32bit mode? Not noticed anything not working correctly anyway.
