Just installed latest update and bought the GOBLIN. I have two separate profiles as my Dad also plays. However now we find both profiles deleted, all route tasks completed gone, all train levels gone but Mastery remains. Tried logging out of DTG and logging back in again but still effectively now a new user again. Several months of work gone!! Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. Jay
Have you reinstalled Windows and not backed up the following directory? Or have you tampered with the directory or deleted it? Then everything is gone. C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld4\Saved If the directory is still there, search for PP_Profilename.sav, back it up and delete it, then search for BAK_Profilename.sav and rename it to PP_Profilename.sav. Start TSW 4 and see if your profile and progress are back, then you can delete the broken backed up PP_Profilename.sav. TSW 4 automatically creates a new BAK_Profilename.sav. You may lose some progress, but this is still better than losing everything completely.
Sorry forgot to mention this is PS4. Just stopped working with a corrupt data message. Everything was on an external drive. Updated it, bought the GOBLIN, everything was fine until the game loaded and was presented with the "Choose character" option and found everything had been deleted. Thanks. Jay
I had the same happen with TSW4 on my PS4 (my thread is a few posts below this one labelled corrupt data). I don't think it's a Goblin thing because I'd had Goblin for approx a week before hand. From what happened to me and (according to a 3rd party) someone else, it may have been triggered by setting a free roam route from one station to the next station along the track (I don't know about the other person but, I did it on Fife Circle). If you didn't do that then, there must be some other trigger.
I have no idea what it was. I hadn't started playing it. I downloaded and installed the latest update. Whilst loading the game I got the "corrupt data" message. It repaired it and the game loaded fine and then presented the "Choose character".
So one angry person tonight. Had got the collectables on nearly all the routes again. Whilst getting the last map at Doncaster a fast Azuma came through. Sound stuttered as did the graphics a little bit resulting in a "corrupt data" message. Exited the game. Upon opening again "Corrupt data has been deleted" message and back to Level 1. So twice in 2 months and unable to import from TSW3 either. Not worth doing a support ticket as it cannot be retrieved. Have no idea if I will play TSW4 again!!!
