Hi! Just picked up the expert BR 101 and am enjoying it but can't seem to get the doors figured out. I've got the door unlock set correctly, and the timetable UI acknowledges the doors are open and pax are loading/unloading, but visually the doors are still closed. You can go and manually open all the doors letting out the stuck passengers. Is this just a bug? Or am I not operating the doors correctly?
If no door opens it would be a bug, but generally this is a feature and not a bug! The doors open according to expected load factor (depending on station and time). As in reality those doors only open if someone presses the button. Hence you will only see some doors open. Also, they don’t all open at the same time but with some delay to each other. Very nice touch! Saying that, I also do believe that I have encountered one service stopping in Hanau which had no doors open, however, I am not sure about it after all. The way I understand it at least one door must open to trigger the system.
I have the same behaviour in Frankfurt Fulda. No doors open until I open them manually from the outside, the passengers immediately leave the car and just stand in front of the door (on the Platform) blocking access to the car for everyone else. I don't use external cameras anymore and pretend passengers getting on and off in a roleplay manner from inside the cab ;-)
I should have mentioned this was on the Frankfurt Fulda timetable too. I'll just casually take a nap at the stops and forget to look outside as well
