I would like to suggest an Expert DB BR 146.2 with Expert Dostos as a future add-on. After the BR 101 Expert and BR 145 Expert, it feels like the next logical step for the Expert line would be to bring the same depth to German regional passenger operations. The BR 101 Expert showed how strong the concept can be with: deep system simulation proper train data entry cold start procedures fault simulation improved physics and sound a meaningful manual and optional accessibility features The BR 145 Expert then pushed this even further with: more in-depth preparation gameplay brake-test procedures manual coupling detailed troubleshooting train paperwork / operational workflows even a passenger-oriented variant with FT95 PIS That is exactly why I think an Expert BR 146.2 + Dostos would be such a good fit. Why the BR 146.2? The BR 146.2 is one of the most recognizable modern German regional locomotives in push-pull service. In Train Sim World, it would offer something different from the current Expert releases: regional passenger gameplay instead of IC/freight dense stop patterns tight turnarounds cab car operations realistic passenger information workflows door control procedures formation and coach-system depth Why Expert Dostos matter I do not think this should be “just an expert locomotive”. The real value would be in making the entire consist feel expert-level. That means the Dostos should ideally include: functional and detailed cab car systems realistic door control logic proper PIS destination/input workflow full push-pull setup coach-specific faults or isolations where appropriate brake configuration and formation-dependent setup meaningful interaction between locomotive, cab car, and coaches In other words: the same way the BR 145 Expert made the wagons part of the simulation, an Expert BR 146.2 should make the Dostos part of the experience, not just rolling stock behind the loco. What would make this add-on special An Expert BR 146.2 pack could shine if it includes things like: full startup/shutdown procedures train data and brake setup realistic safety-system workflow fault handling and troubleshooting detailed PIS setup for both loco/cab car/coach systems where applicable proper regional service preparation playable scenarios focused on disruption handling and recovery layered use across multiple German routes Why this would be great for both DTG and TSG For TSG, it would be a natural continuation of the Expert series and a chance to apply what they learned from the 101 and 145 to a high-utility regional passenger set. For DTG, it would create a premium German add-on with broad timetable potential and strong replayability across existing and future routes. Final thought If the BR 101 Expert established the Expert concept, and the BR 145 Expert expanded it, then an Expert BR 146.2 with Expert Doppelstockwagen could be the release that proves the format also works brilliantly for regional passenger operations. I would absolutely love to see this become a future DTG/TSG project.
