Is it possible to disable the eye adaption/auto exposure through ini settings?
I find that most of the lighting issues are caused by this. The further I look toward the sky, makes the ground and surrounding look less nuclear.
I'm using some ini mods for lighting but the lighting still don't look natural, depending on what direction I'm looking.

I don't think it's possible to completely eliminate it, though JetWash will know better.

Maybe setting all min and max settings to the same value. (could lead to complete darkness in tunnels then, not even seeing your gauges and displays, as TOD4 relies on eye adaption / dynamic range shifting.)

TSC mods will not or should work in TSW__ but yes ask the mod author as Spikee1975 stated be it Jetwash or whoever created the ini file you are using. But again if you do make it too dark, this too will cause issues. I do know what you are talking about, at times I put my tinted eyeglasses on because of the brightness "including this forum"

I've been playing with some settings in god mode and yeah I can see what you mean. If I change the sunlight intensity I can get the sunlight to look natural. Some trains the lighting in the cab looks natural too, others it looks terrible.
Some routes (tod4) looks nice and other routes not so nice.
Never knew the complexity of lighting in gaming.

Sorry I meant tsc as in train sim community.
It wasn't jetwash's lighting ini I used. I tried to install jetwash lighting enhancement and tweaks but kept getting performance issues. I plan to try again in the future.
It's strange how the lighting changes when you look towards the sky.

    QAll is okay, no biggie.
Did you try using the medium or low and you have to take into account the GPU and the display resolution, whenever you update the GPU drivers, you will have to build up the shader cache with a long or several shorter runs the more you run the game the more the shader cache builds up.
Also, I just tried another mod that was made for TSW3 and it looks like it's working in TSW5.

and a few screenshots in the training center.
I am using the ultra setting from Jetwash ini mod with 4 4080 GPU at 4k, my daughter used the PC last with obs

Looks good. I will try this when I'm home later. Thanks.
I have a 3070 and 1440 display. Even with medium settings using jetwash mod, I was dropping down to 20fps in some areas. Although I didn't download the lossless scailing app. I enabled something that's ment to do the same thing, on the nvidia control panel.
I have got a 4070 sitting at home in the box, need to get round to installing it. Should boost things a little.

yeah, the 4070 should help a bit more, I have not gotten the lossless scaling app and could not speak as to how well or it may work for you, there is discussion on that in the thread for the ini modification. However, you get it worked out let us know, again Jetwash can speak more on the lossless scaling app.
