TSW 2: Everytime I click on create profile and enter n number of names "n" times, it keeps showing "failed to create profile", I have tried every possible steps mentioned in the support section like running the app as administrator, windows firewall and restarting the laptop of but still got no result. I am looking for a solution to it. Please help me, as I am new to this community
Windows UAC and Windows Defender along with your AV could be an issue, you need to lower the UAC levels, and let Defender to allow writing to the file in the documents folder, if the game can't write to the game folder in your documents it can fail like this.
Your Documents folder is per definition R/W accessible to its owner - you when logged in, that's why games are writing there or to User\Appdata which are there for each user. You do not need to adjust UAC levels, especially not if you're not aware of what you're doing and know a bit about System Administration. Windows Defender / Security is not causing such issues.
I figured that would be a cause when I installed the game FO3 I ran into this similar issue, I adjusted the UAC and Windows Defender, and, and my AV, after doing that everything worked out, I also installed to separate drive just for games and programs. I have been doing it like this for a long time. If there is another cause for this issue, I am willing to listen and learn and stand corrected. As a side note unrelated to TSW, With FO3 I also needed to use a small program to disable games for Windows Live.
