Is there a fast foward button in this game, because if so i can't find it in the keybindings menu. I just had to sit and wait 10 mins in the second GWR mission because i took the first train to paddington
Yes but you need to do a few things to prepare it for use. 1) Create a shortcut on your desktop (directly from the RailWorks64.exe located in your *Your TS install drive*:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks folder) and right click on it and select Properties OR open Steam and right click on TS2022 and then click on Properties... 2) Enter the following code.. (add it to the end of the text in the Target: field of the desktop created after RailWorks64.exe" and a space) OR just directly into the Steam Launch Options window. You only need to do one or the other depending on whether you launch TS from Steam or from your desktop shortcut icon, however you can have both options if you so wish as they won't clash with each other. Code: EnableAsyncKeys Click apply if doing the desktop shortcut, nothing further needs doing with the Steam option. 3) Run the game and a non career mode scenario, when you wish to speed up time you use Ctrl + Shift + 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. (1 is real-time each following number is incrementally faster) Here's a picture guide if your struggling following my instruction, (wish I'd found it before I typed all this lol) https://steamah.com/train-simulator-how-to-enable-time-acceleration/ Also a video tutorial from Alan Thomson..
"in the second GWR mission"? What is the Scenario called? Not normally a Mission and they don't follow on from one to another - except in TSW2
Reef, can this not be done through the Steam client too, like we used to do with -fastload? Last time I tried, I couldn't get the shortcut for the 64 bit game to work for some reason.
I wouldn't know, but if so at least someone searching the correct forum for this regarding TS20xx then hopefully it will help them instead. *shrug*
