Hello everyone, Unfortunately, TSW5 Deluxe hangs on all routes on "Fast Travel". Can someone confirm that? I'm on PS5. Sadly greets...
I can confirm. Only time I’ve tried fast traveling so far on PS5 (Queen’s Park -> Euston), I got an unlimited loading screen/freeze frame that ended in a very unusual black screen game crash when I tried to close the game from the main menu. Edit: Have fast traveled a few more times since and luckily no more game crashes! So either it was a one-time thing or specific issue with the route.
Hope they fix it this week! After all, it's a core feature and should definitely work! So this is not a small but a massive error!
I got a fast travel crash exactly as described above on Oakville this morning and I do have the latest PS5 update.
I still have crashes when fast travel, the game locks when in the loading screen. 2 locks 1 after another, i cant do fast travels and with this locks gives 4 corrupted route images. The routes load but the images for the routes are corrupted only the name appear. EDIT: The route image fixed by itself.
It's been working for me since the first update, but I haven't tested all the routes yet. But if it works, it'll be quick. I'll keep trying it out and hope DTG keeps an eye on it!
It's the same on other maps, sometimes it's OK, with larger stations I find it practically unusable... it almost certainly freezes Almost unusable on the Frankfurt Fulda map
Perhaps it has difficulties working when a route is freshly installed and the first run to compile the shaders hasn’t been made yet. Maybe it stabilizes after the whole route has been “seen” a few times by the system, similar to the reduction of lags and stutters that goes along with that.
I just had another fast travel crash. Tried to teleport to San Bernardino depot station while a big freight train was approaching it. I guess that was too much for the game to handle
