Using the pause menu track map to teleport on PC will softlock the game, where you cannot do anything except Alt+F4.
I would say this is one of my favorite features of TSW5. What I actually fast travel for is to set up the service I'm going to drive the way I want. so, I spawn in like 10 minutes before, and I was travel to different locations on the map and add static trains to sidings non-occupies areas and just making it look the way I want. then i fast travel back to the service I intended to do and experience the service in my own unique way every time.
Attempted to fast travel from Queen’s Park to Euston, got stuck in an infinite loading screen and had to close the game from the main menu, which caused a crazy game crash that briefly made my whole PS5 unresponsive with a black screen!
I've been hopping around the stations on WCML tonight, and I've had this exact same thing happen twice during fast travel. Now up to three crashes, all of them while fast travelling. PS5.
Great feature. One minor UX improvement: if I cancel the fast travel, allow me to stay on the mini-map to get to another part of it instead of closing it for me. PC Steam
Haven’t crashed yet whilst using it on PS5 (oop, got one when trying to go from CMF to San Bernardino Downtown). Great for hunting for collectables, and it’s great for being in a variety of locations while railfanning. My one wish is that routes could include more spawn points! Like it’s insane that on Cajon Pass there is not a single spawn point between the summit and San Bernardino. What if I see a really cool train going down the pass? I won’t be able to travel to it! So uh yeah more spawn points please They don’t all have to be available from the normal list but maybe including some bonus spots we can access from the map? Just something to improve the railfanning experience
Occasionally when using the fast travel, you arrive before the world is rendered and end up spinning until you drop in place. When this happens the PIS screens don't render properly, they just have blocks where each character should be. Also, when this happens, the collectables are shown in their initial state, not the collected state. xbox x wcml looks good so far, but at frankfurt there are serveral travelspots missing for a couple of stations and to travel three or more times leads to crashes.
Unable to fast travel whilst in control of a service. I tried to fast travel my way out of being stuck in the underpass on Frankfurt-Fulda due to invisible walls but was unable to do so unless I gave up my service... I gave up my service but couldn't get back to it before it drove off.
Alright, I'm getting to the point where it feels like a 50/50 chance my game freezes when I try fast travelling. Not ideal! Adding on, I initially thought it was because of trains on the route but no, it just happened to me on the free roam mode with not a single train on the entire map (Frankfurt-Fulda).
Once again trying to use fast travel to Tring on the WCML brought about a game freeze and crash on PS5.
Unfortunately, the crashes with the fast travel function on the PS5 still exist after the patch. Tested on the Frankfurt - Fulda route.
