Great route with some little disappointments, again.

Over all I'm satisfied with TSW3. I love the new light, the weather, the new routes. But I have to admit, that I played KW more than the other routes. ICE1, ICE3 are amazing and I have a lot of fun thundering through the mountains.

But again dtg has cut some corners and that is becoming more and more annoying. First some lazy mistakes with the stopmarkers and the red signals in Würzburg. When you try to aim for the 500pts you will fail (atm). But what really makes me a little angry are the freight services. The Kassel yard is just around the corner from the station, why on earth havn't you put it in as a normal start and end point for freight services? This reminds me of the Köln Aachen route, where the freight yard is also just around the corner but was not included. That is lazy. You can't make the argument, that this would have broken the bank, again, the yard is just around the corner.

In the end, it is not a deal breaker, and that is what dtg seems to count on, because it is a really good route. But instead of an A grade it is just a B+ and it leaves me with a bitter disappointment that it would have been easy to make it an A+ route.

Thank you for the feedback, we'll look into ways of improving routes and doing this better with future releases.

    Mahlzeit,

I would also like to give my Senf (feedback) on the topic. Is only a small detail, but...
half (25+) of the 48 tunnels on the line is missing the length of the tunnel in metres on the signs. Which would be okay if it didn't stand on some and/or just the name of the tunnel ... but not sporadically and then again name + "length" + nothing

I don't know why I did this to myself, but here is the list of missing information + larger & smaller "bugs"...

    Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe
Rengershäuser - 1592m - glare effect in the middle of the tunnel
Dörnhagen - 739m - font size is a bit too large
    Wildsberg - 2708m
    Schalkenberg - 2829m
    Hainrode - 5370m
    Mühlbach - 1583m
    Kalter Sand - 1043m
    Schickeberg - 1430m
    Kirchheim - 3820m
    Hattenberg - 444m
    Warteküppel - 835
    Richthof - 3510m
    Dornbusch - 557m
    Witzelshöhe - 796m
    Ganzberg - 387m
    Dietershan - 7375m
    Fulda
    Sulzhof - 714m
    Kalbach - 1259m
Landrücken - 10779m - longest railway tunnels in Germany!!!
Dittenbrunn - 822m - font size too large and goes beyond the sign
    Sinnberg - 2159m
Einmalberg - 1140m - font size is a bit too large
    Espenloh - 2235m
    Roßberg - 2164m
    Steinberg - 579m
    Würzburg Hbf

    so long ;)

The tunnel length is a collectable on this route. It will be shown when you go near the sign.

I was wondering about this collectable, as I have 0 of them so far.
    How does it work?
You need to walk to each tunnel and look for a sign??

That is the idea of the collectables. I don’t walk, I use a service and drive as close as possible to the collectable. It is another way of discovering a route, at a slow pace. Quite relaxing.

Yeah, but usually collectables are around a station, where you can actually spawn and do not need to walk for miles.
But driving with a service and stopping each tunnels - while a bit tedious - is certainly the way to do it.

I prefer to drive from station to station when collecting the collectables, at low speed and with an external camera. It allows you to discover many small details of a route and to really appreciate to work that has been done by DTG and the other companies.

Well, that is how I do it. LGV for example I walked the complete route to find every electric-box or what these things were. But I don't do it in one go. Normaly I spawn at a station on foot and then walk along the tracks.

That's maddening- Matt P said a year ago that this practice would stop, of placing halt markers bang on top of signals. Nothing but bloody SPAD traps.

I would expect better from a Community Manager than a generic response.

It is something that could be implemented but if the cap doesn't fit perhaps?

Taking on the feedback to help us improve routes while also understanding what it is players are enjoying is important, I can't always have an answer to why things were made in a certain manner but I can feed this forward to our developer teams. Right now my priority is helping support players during the launch and addressing the issues we face, while noting the feedback for later.

Lacks dynamics and pitching in the cab, movement on the rail track is not felt. The cockpit of a locomotive is like a ship in outer space.

I think the running speed is set to about 20-25mph. I guess 7-10 hrs of walking simulator?
