London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness The entire route of c2c with all stations and destinations - Route idea TSW5 Before I get started on the route, let’s take a look at the trains that come with the route as one purchase and then the layers after! The first train involved in the route is: The class 357 ‘Electro star’ EMU. The player will be able to drive this train along the whole route, working services from London to destinations like Grays, Southend central, and Shoeburyness. Most services would be operated in 4 or 8 car formations, with 12 car formations being used for ECSM and peak hour services. These units have multiple liveries for c2c: the normal white + blue doors combination, white + blue doors with Union Jack flag, 357008’s yellow cancer support livery, and the newly refurbished trains with magenta doors and extra details. This train would also be visible in other routes, These trains can go in and out of Barking on the Suffragette line, with weekend services going through woodgrange park, to and from London Liverpool Street, via the switch tracks north of Woodgrange park. These trains can also be seen on the Mildmay line, at Stratford on weekends. Not to forget SEHS, these trains can be seen at Dagenham dock, Rainham (Essex) and wherever else of the c2c line is visible, on SEHS, but this layer would only be AI. The class 720 ‘Aventra’ EMU. (720/6) The player will be able to operate the same services as the class 357 with this train, but instead of 4 or 8 cars, these services will be in 5 and 10 car formations. These units only have one livery for c2c, which is magenta doors and 2 magenta strips on the front, as well as one on the side near the cab. This livery of the class 720 would appear in other routes, Barking & Woodgrange park on the suffragette line, same as the class 357. Stratford in the mildmay line on weekends, same as the class 357. The visible part of c2c lines on SEHS, same as the class 357s. The class 720 will also have an unbranded Greater Anglia livery, being seen at Stratford in the mildmay line and the visible part of the GEML of the suffragette line. Also, there can be another AI livery of the class 720 in Elizabeth line livery, being seen at Stratford again, as the class 710 version of this is not as accurate. Now let’s look at other trains from other add-ons making an appearance in the route. London Overground class 710 ‘Aventra’ EMU. The suffragette line operates through Barking, therefore making the class 710s first appearance in the route, operating in and out of Barking station, (AI use only) with the Barking Riverside flyover being visible on the line headed up to Dagenham dock, and then the flyover on the western approach to barking, more on that in my future add-ons list. Like I used the word first, the class 710 has another appearance, we head east for Upminster where the southern terminus of the Liberty line is situated, essentially having (AI use only) Class 710s running in, terminating, and out of Upminster. But there is some services the player can use the class 710 in the c2c route, ECSMs from East Ham EMUD to Barking. Island line Class 484 ‘D-train’ EMU. As we know, a chuck of the line that c2c use runs along side the London Underground District, & Hammersmith & City line. Obviously there is no s7 stock in the game to run here, but there is Class 484s, which came from former D-stock, which ran alongside the c2c line. My idea for this playable layer is the player can drive these trains between Bromley-by-bow (where the c2c and London Underground lines meet), and Upminster, where they terminate. But some services, specifically the H&C line, terminate at Barking. Also, some services of both lines terminate at Plaistow and some district line services terminate at Dagenham East, and Barking. My idea for these trains to be involved is to fill a big gap if this route is made. These trains would be in a London Underground D-Stock livery, the interior is up to the development team. These services would be in 6 car formations, which cannot be uncoupled to make 4 or 2 car sets in any timetable / scenario. But where would we see the 6 car, D-stock coloured class 484s in other routes? 1) Suffragette line at Barking Station, terminating, going to the sidings, or just stopping and going! 2) GWE’s revamp, which is already confirmed to feature the class 484! South Eastern Class 395 ‘Javelin’ EMU. This is a small AI only layer, with these trains speeding through on HS1, alongside c2c at places like Dagenham Dock, and Rainham (Essex) etc. Class 66 This layer is spoken for really, with freight timetables to and from London Gateway, Tilbury2, Dagenham Dock etc. As I said earlier, I will suggest some extra updates / add-ons for the route now! Route extension to Stratford and London Liverpool Street This would mean many things! An increased amount of services we can do in the c2c class 357 and class 720, in a separate Weekend Timetable. This would also mean we could, in the week and weekend timetable, operate the class 710 in all its services, to Woodgrange Park and Barking. Also, the player can drive the unbranded Greater Anglia class 720 between Stratford and London Liverpool Street, again in both timetables. Seeing as the line between Woodgrange Park and London Liverpool Street includes stations such as Forest Gate, Maryland, and Stratford, the player can drive the 9 car class 720 in Elizabeth line livery between these 3 stops, and some services to London Liverpool Street National rail platforms. This would also mean freight can come and go further, either through Woodgrange park on the suffragette line, or on to Stratford. Class 88 DRS Bi-power Locomotive As suggested by many players of this simulator, we need another freight locomotive and I believe this loco is the perfect fit. It could make an appearance in Cargo line Vol.3, WCML south, Suffragette line, and London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness, with its main role being to haul the Tesco train, which goes through all the routes I just stated. It could also appear on the Part where c2c is visible on SEHS, as the Tesco train does go through stations like Rainham (Essex) And Dagenham Dock. Also you should keep in mind that the DRS class 66 also takes the Tesco train! 2016/17 Timetable Featuring Class 387/3 In Late 2016, c2c started using class 387s, whilst their class 711s, later to be changed to class 720/6s, were being built. This would basically run all the services the class 720 does in the present timetable, but in 4, 8, and the occasional 12 car formation in peak hours. These trains would be in the white + blue doors c2c livery, and the c2c class 387 interior, as it will be a new 387 model, not just a reskin. A cool scenario would be with the ROG class 37, dragging a class 387 out of the route for its new operator, after being leased. Depots along the route •East Ham EMUD - featuring the class 357, 720, 387, and 710. •Shoeburyness Depot, featuring the class 357 and 720. •Upminster depot, only featuring the class 484 in LU livery Let me know your thoughts!
