I think it would be better if DTG focused on fixing and improving the game. A lot of bugs and things needs addressed. Most of the routes need attention...It's hard to enjoy and be happy when the game fights you all the time.

 

would of been nice to of had a extended toy train to the backyard this year

 

"Reindeer Run" bar is also empty on PS4. Unfortunately, with large numbers, a certain amount of text overlapping can occur (e.g. levels in statistics after route completions etc.), but is likely not the reason here as the graphical bar is empty. There's also an additional bug in that one of the tasks, I think that it's the presents one, only appears if you click on the left arrow rather than the right arrow.

Logged into Dovetail Live (on PC) but couldn't find this year's community challenge in either Mastery or Rewards. I'm sure they've been there during past community challenges.

Been enjoying the 12 days screenshot challenge, would probably be great to bring it back next year I’ve tried to participate where I can (I didn’t have any non copyrighted liveries what were complete for one so had to give that one a pass, all well though) it’s been fun and quite challenging, the screenshots are very well done by all, it’s been nice to see them. I’m looking forward to the upcoming stream for it all

sometimes when I am at Wien Hbf, I admire the RailJets, especially when they enter in double traction <3 and the new RailJets are also damn cool, even though Vectron doesnt look as nice (but the coaches themselves are staggering)

my personal achievement for this past week has been managing to finally create a functioning monster train - Taurus-14IC coaches-Taurus- +a couple more coaches lol

also tried how many ICEs I could couple together, turns out max is 2 x16 ICE3s when I tried adding even another 8, it ended in automatic failure (derailment) I guess it will only be unleashed after consist editor is released lol... it was still tons of fun driving around with 32 cars

turns out that thanks to the train being so long and heavy, LZB allowed me multiple instances of going 280 km/h <3

i dont know what the whole game should be. there is much that works fine and perfect so i dont know what u noticed. but i assume that u only played the US routes

 

Why would you assume that? U.S. routes are a joke except for two. It is a poorly optimized game for the consoles and there are a LOVE load of things wrong. The only thing that is even close to being "perfect" is the many different engine models in the game. I do play hours of the German routes also. Most would agree that there needs to be a lot of fixes to make it better. I wouldn't use the word perfect to describe anything about this game. Smh.

 

i saw many things in this forum , like people saying that there is a problem with the 193 because it has no power. when they just drive trough a neutral section... the game is optimized well i would say. the 8. gen consoles are just getting older and weaker for new games. there is a point where u need to upgrade to an 9. gen or to an PC .

 

Optimized so so..I get stutters all the time on some of German routes ..also I agree on the ancient gen 8 consoles. I play on the Xbox series s. I am also sick and tired of the lazy half done routes we get. We now have TSW4 and still plagued with the same silly overlooked stuff.

guys training center kilometres/miles are not counted . only from szenarios and timetables!!! still 1 mil left !! we need to achieve the leaks!!!

 

TSW was created specifically for consoles so I don't understand why it is poorly optimised on console.

I have used the simulation extensively ever since Sand Patch Grade was released… sure, there are some niggles here and there, but what exactly needs to be fixed in your humble opinion…

 

Yes, works for me. I can complete scenarios and timetables.

 

their are many more things in the game than service completion, being able to complete many services isn’t a sign that everything works.

Now, the 1. Reindeer Run and 2. Present Delivery challenge has been completed.

I would like to give my feedback about the the third challenge, the "A Sleigh-load of Scenarios" with 36.000 scenarios needed to be completed within one week, and the last 12.800 km (which is about the half of scenarios already completed in the entire week so far) high probably won't be reached within just the next 23 hours.

I personally think the goal has been set too high here for TSW terms, because this literally would mean that each day more than 5.143 scenarios needed to be completed, which marks 214 scenarios per hour. Plus, scenarios usually are less played than timetable services but they still got the same goal as the timetable services with 36,000 units to complete.

Given another factor of the amount of active players in TSW, this goal could never been achieved from the very beginning. Some people even use glitches in the game to achieve that number, and even then we will not get close to the final flag here.

TSW4 is not an ETS2 with thousands of active players in game playing with and for the community challenge. And even there, the community challenge is not needed to be completed within one week as rather 4 weeks to complete 15 deliveries and the community achievement (just like the upcoming Decal challenge).

I would like to know who actually set this limit up for the third challenge, because it's simply unrealistic.

Therefore, I would pled for the idea that DTG shows the third teaser nonetheless in the upcoming stream. Simply because of the reason, that the challenge requirements are unfair in comparison to the player numbers and we never really had a chance to reach it.

 

Not to mention they must have known Railroader was coming out this week which has provided a significant diversion for may regular players.

 

And I have a few more reasons:

1. Each year before christmas many new games come out.
2. Black Friday (and Steam autumn) sale just 2 weeks ago (not only TSW content were in offer).
3. For ETS2 there has been a new 1:1 map project for an area in Rhineland-Palantine released by a community team of 19 members called Rheinland & Pfalz map (Looks very promising).
4. Screenshot photo mode challenge (If I am in TSW, I work for that the most time currently - please don't laugh).
5. The Players with Editor projects probably don't participate (at least not in a matter they would without).
6. it's christmas time and probably we spend more time with our families in these days than playing TSW until becoming nuts.

I think the Decal challenge with 4 weeks is fair and cool (I am fully excited about that), but one week for 36.000 scenarios just seems a bit odd for me. Also I saw how many people really do crazy things to get that number higher just to get that little teaser, so I just felt the need to make this post and say it.
