I've started working on custom route and the route has many field drainage canals. Althouhg I use LIDAR data, the drainage is very narrow and barely visible on the landscape. Initially, my idea was to use large plane meshes with water material on them and sculpt the landscape down to make the water visible where the drainage goes. I didn't like the result beacause of jagged edges it produces. I tried to increase resolution, but it didn't help much. Can you share your ideas on how can I approach this challenge? I'm kinda inclining to canal splines... but thought, maybe, there is a solution with landscape sculpting.
