I've been looking around on the forums for notes on how to drive the FCL HUDless, but I haven't found any, I've made my own. It includes speed limits, morpeth boards, landmarks for upcoming speed limits and braking points. I've included notes to both branches of the circle, both ways.

Feel free to add suggestions and point out if I missed something.
I hope you find it helpful.

That all looks good. Mostly similar to what I’ve been doing with only minor variations like for example when you are heading from Cowdenbeath to Dunfermline Queen Margaret you use Halbeath crossing and the house, whereas I use the TPWS speed trap grates just slightly passed through the Townhill loops. I think some of the railings you are pointing out I would label for myself as underline bridges as they seem to correspond; ultimately both descriptions work. In Edinburgh I know most of the road names and use the Water of Leith as a reference point at Haymarket along with Russel Road; utterly useless for anyone who doesn’t know the area.

    Nice work!

Thanks for the suggestion! I have been thinking about using them, and if this was a German route, I most definitely would have, as German railfans do in their driving sheets (Buchfahrpläne), like here: https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/...ainz-koblenz-linke-rheinstrecke/?fileID=23793

The reason why I decided against this is twofold. First of all, I find these numbers difficult to remember, especially not being too familiar with the area, and the distance between stops. Second, I'm not sure how the mile posts are in real life, but I find the ones in game very small, and next to impossible to read without a mod like zoomier zoom.

You shed some light on what I believe now is desperately missing, namely the distance between the stops. I think that would give a much better feel for the braking points. So thanks again, I might update the sheet in a couple of days :D

Thanks for the input! I think most of the railings that I refer to are roads where the railroad pass over, but I'm not entirely sure, they're hard to see sometimes. Knowing the area (or the country, even :) ) definitely helps, I'm sure.

Ngl, creating this sheet was a lot of fun, but also very time consuming. If I have the time, I would probably make more of them, cause I haven't found many on UK routes, and that's the bulk of my collection.

I always make my own driving instructions for all possible stopping patterns on the routes that I like. I find it's one of the most fun parts of the game. I've just come across other people doing the same thing for the first time and I'm excited to try your instructions as I've never driven this route before. Also ckop64 I had no idea that the german forum included german route guides. This is gonna be so fun to try.
