My suggestion is add the branch down to Hastings (the start already exists at the points near hampden park, in the game but vanishes into nothing, this is the smallest bit left, though it may be complicated, it would be worth it and would complete the east coastway route. Thanks.

It would be better as part of an Eastbourne to Ashford route (Marshlink line) with the non-electrified segment between Ore and Ashford using the Class 171 (The route would be separate but merge onto East Coastway if this becomes possible in the future :))

yeah good point, or they could even do the ashford - brighton as they have all the resources past hampden park + could add 377s as the bot trains going between ore and brighton. at ashford they could also add the southeastern trains you see, such as the highspeed etc..

Another great suggestion. Would be day 1 purchais for me. As much i like eastcoast way, an extension because its current service endpoints has as much potential than extending the gwr.

Not an impossible project with a cl.171, just its time ahead.

Good idea and there is another way to link Hastings to the Brighton main line then ECW at Brighton that would require two new route Hastings line electrified in 1986 then Tonbridge to Redhill Line.
