The FGW liveries are already in the game and can be accessed with mods, so why can’t they be in the vanilla game for all platforms to enjoy?

Has this actually been officially confirmed by someone at DTG or is it just speculation?

I think it’s the FIRST group. For example, GTR own Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Great Northern. But you would require different licenses for each Brand

Yes Sam just said in the livestream that for licensing reasons it's not meant to be there it was while in development but FGW changed their liveries so DTG had to follow suit. if you can access it then do so, but for general release no.
Maybe once the livery editor comes to preserved collect we can all make a version and the ciggy packet versions. personally the MTU fitted Class 43 power cars are dull compared to a Paxman Valenta so I'm not into the HST's on GWE.

That’s right. FirstGroup only wanted their latest GWE livery represented in the game, so the livery they had on the train they were creating and testing the route with had to go, and the one we have now was done instead. Licenses can be very specific like that.
