Now as I’m sure many people will be aware, the First Great Western livery is already available to PC users of TSW2 in the form of the Class 43 and Class 166. These liveries have been locked out of use for some reason, so I thought that maybe to fill a gap in DTG’s TSW2 release list, these could be officially introduced to the game, as well as making their first appearance on consoles. Ideally, they would come with a new, busier timetable that includes a brand new Class 57/6 & Mk3’s for the Night Riviera sleeper train. Proposed Rolling Stock Class 43 in First Great Western livery Would run the majority of express trains. Could also be utilised to layer into the existing timetable to provide mixed blue and green HST sets, as only a few 2+8 sets ever received GWR green. Class 165/166 in First Great Western livery Would run local passenger services as well as trains to Oxford. Both 2 and 3 car formations would be included, with the 2 cars mostly being used on Greenford workings. Class 57 in First Great Western livery & GWR Lined Green (57601) + Mk3 Sleepers Operates the Night Riviera service which is stabled at Long Rock and Reading TrainCare. Would add a bit of much needed variety, as well as more nighttime services.
As I understand it, First withdrew permission for DTG to use the old liveries in TSW so they were not able to officially be released. Perhaps that could change but that would require negotiations with Great Western Railway and First.
DTG should instead add these FGW liveries to Creator's Club as free extra official content. The Night Sleeper would be good but would only add a handful of extra services to the timetable, so it might have a more limited appeal.
