Despite a few updates now I'm still unable to generate completely flat landscape. I have no interest in recreating a real route and would rather make something that doesn't follow any terrain and is my own creation. The default unreal editor allows you to easily make flat land, but the TSW editor has this disabled. I've tried other methods but those don't work either. So is there any way I can generate completely flat landscape?
It is also possible to use a .kml file to generate tiles without any LiDAR or SRTM (this will keep the landscape flat). Just draw a line anywhere on google earth and use that to generate the tiles. You can always increase the size of your map by extending or adding more lines to the .kml file.
My assumption is that the landscape exists, but you just can't see it because A. you're under the level (this happens quite often and you need to hold E to raise the camera) or B. just be in the wrong perspective or visible mode. Another thing which is a casual thing is that when UE loads the level, the camera gets spawn at a place far off the landscape, so you of course don't see it. The common solution for that issue is to select a placemark in the placemarks drop down menu to get back to a location on the map, however this solution might not work for a fictional route, if you don't have at least one placemark.
I held down E and didn't see the landscape anywhere. I'm not sure how to change the perspective or visible mode. I did use placemarks though.
Not sure if this helps, but on my keyboard layout it's page up and pagedown to raise/lower the camera
Maybe it would be helpful to provide one or a few screenshots. Because any other that it just keeps pure guess work from ourselves. My assumption is still that the landscape must be there, saying you know that the landscape tiles have been created, but for some reason you can't see it or the camera is far away from it.
Not much point in providing screenshots because the issue is exactly as described. There's no landscape whatsoever. Nothing. There's only that one floor tile you get when you boot up the editor. I put the placemarks right where the line begins in the KML file, and when I go to either one of them there's nothing there. I move the camera all the way up and down and still nothing. I can only lay track over a void.
I know this might sound stupid but have you actually generated the landscape and track tiles with the commands?
