Sorry this is not going to be detailed at all because there's not a lot to say about it, but at night I find it impossible to find the correct buttons or even my vehicle! This small quality of life improvement would make night set up so much easier instead of wondering in the dark.
Hey there, you can turn on your flashlight by pressing "L" while standing up. Pressing "L" while sitting down at the driver's seat will turn on the cab lights. Hope that helps, Jan

If you use classic controls there is the headlight menu by holding the left stick which will often have an option for cab lights and other lights on it. One of the controls that went away with the switch to immersion controls. Or you can plug in a USB or Bluetooth keyboard and use the L button. You can't turn on the flashlight while sitting down, but while on foot it's right on the D-pad.
Why are those controls not shown in the hud (optionally)? The flashlight is a control I always forget is D-pad
Probably the same reason you can't access the headlight menu with keyboard. They haven't gotten around to it and probably don't prioritize it or don't think enough people want it. IMO the last thing this game needs is more settings, they have so many issues with getting the settings they have to save properly in the first place. All controls layouts are available in the options menu, but of course even there Dovetail have incorrectly labelled controls they haven't bothered fixing.
