I have been watching the Flying Scotsman on the KWVR where it is staying for the Bank Holiday weekend.

She is a very beautiful locomotive and it got me thinking, maybe perhaps DTG will be producing it for the game to be released as part of the locomotives celebrations.

    We can but hope!!!

Please NO! The legend doesn't deserve such torture. I have been there 3 weeks ago, adore the loco and its story, even pulled the whistle myself... and I still wish for it NOT to be made seeing the current release quality.

Would love to have a decently good version for TSW3.

    (and an A4)

    Kind regards,
    Dave

A LNER steam route with an A4 would be a dream.

Perhaps Edinburgh and North or York to Newcastle?

  6. LNER is the East Coast Main Line?

  8. Imagine doing a 1940's rendition of the ECML!! They could release a modern one as well in a Deluxe Package for £50 with the Flying Scotsman.

The ECML these days is fully electrified right?

Why can't they release a modern one with Flying Scotsman as a bonus loco? It still does rail tours.

Predominantly the east coast main line but LNER also had lines through Scotland, the Midlands and East Anglia. The Great Eastern Main Line for example or the highland line to Aberdeen.

The big Pacific’s regularly worked the route north of Edinburgh in their final years as they were replaced by diesels in the south.

Honestly, if I had the choice between a LNER ECML and a modern day one. It would be a no brainer to do steam era for me! Followed in second by a BR Blue era version with the Deltics.

No reason why they can’t do different segments of ECML/WCML routes in different eras to please everyone.

I too would like a historic one, whether it be BR Blue, BR Green or Steam.

The operations are so much more interesting than just units shuttling up and down and the infrastructure and stations all look very impressive.
A main line like the ECML would have plenty of source material too for the developers. Far more I’d guess than Peak Forest.

I would love to see a 1950's version of something like Newcastle to York with A4's and V2's, B1's, K2's, J72's, V3's etc. Or maybe a transition era one with A4's and Deltics.

    Very unlikely though.
