This year marks the 100 year anniversary of 60103, Flying Scotsman. It would be a waste is dovetail didn't release a DLC to mark this. The DLC should feature: 60103, Flying Scotsman in its current BR green livery. It would also come with the support coach for the loco. There would be various plates on the front of the loco, including flying scotsman centenary, The flying scotsman and steam dreams. The loco would be fitted with AWS like the Jubilee and GSMR radio. 47489, Crewe diesel depot, in BR 2 tone green. This would be cool as it frequently is on the back of Flying Scotsman tours. Specifically the 100 year celebration at Edinburgh. It would be the NTP class 47 with a different livery and nameplate. These would be the timetables includes: SEHS - Faversham to Dartford (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 GWE - Paddington to Reading (Great Western pt 1) GWE - Reading to Paddington (Great Western pt 4) WCL - St Austell to Penzance (Great Western pt 2) WCL - Penzance to St Austell (Great Western pt 3) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 Scotrail Express - Edinburgh to Glasgow (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 Scotrail Express - Edinburgh to Inverness (as far as Polmont - return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - class 37 from WCL London Commuter - London Vic - Brighton (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches MML - Leicester to Derby (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 MML - Leicester to Nottingham (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 BCC - Lichfield to Bromsgrove (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - class 20 or class 37 or class 47 BCC - Lichfield to Reddich (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - class 20 or class 37 or class 47 WSR - Minehead to Bishops Lydeard (return) 60103 - mk 1 coaches - None or Class 33 or Class 47 or class 52 or class 20 or class 37 All of the above timetables would include flying scotsman support coach. These would be the scenarios included: Training centre - Flying scotsman introduction (obviously) 60103 SEHS - Rescue run - Flying scotsman has broken down on a Railtour near Rochester. Deploy in a ROG class 37 from gillingham depot to rescue the train. Once you reach its location, couple to it and bring it to its destination (faversham) . Unload the passengers and take the broken down train to Dartford, where another driver will take it to Crewe works. ROG class 37 - 60103 - mk 1 coaches GWE - Start of the day - Take 60103 from Southall West Coast Railways sidings to Paddington where you will load passengers. then take the train to reading where another driver will take it to Sailsbury. 60103 - mk 1 coaches WCL - Costal Scotsman - Take 60103 from Penzance sidings to Penzance, where you will load passengers. Then drive to St Ives, calling at St Erth only. When you get there, walk dow the platform and climb into the class 37 to take the train back to Penzance, where you will unload passengers and take the train to the sidings. 60103 - mk 1 coaches - class 37 Scotrail Express - Not Flying Scotsman - Problems with the overhead wires mean that services are delayed. You are stuck being a delayed class 385 service meaning that you have to drive Flying Scotsman very carefully from Edinburgh to Glasgow. 60103 - mk 1 coaches Scotrail Express - Centenary celebrations - Today is the ceremony for flying scotsmans 100th anniversary. You must wait for flying scotsman to pull into the station, before boarding and driving it to Glasgow. There will be lots of trainspotters on the platform so make sure to blow the whistle through every station. 60103 - mk 1 coaches - 47489 WSR - Heritage Railways - Flying Scotsman has been recruited as part of the annual West Somerset Railway S&D gala. It is your job to take this double header service with Jubilee class locomotive, Leander, from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard and back. 60103 - 45690 - mk 1 coaches (other trains that would be there are all wsr locos and 8f + Jubilee) There could be a scenario or timetable where Flying Scotsman runs light with only its support coach; I just couldn't find a way to fit that in. The flying scotsman would have Scenario Planner configurations as follows (they all have support coach): 60103 + mk 1 x4 60103 + mk 1 x5 60103 + mk 1 x6 60103 + mk 1 x8 60103 + mk 1 x9 60103 + mk 1 x10 60103 + mk 1 x12 60103 + mk 1 x6 - x12 + class 47 60103 + mk 1 x6 - x12 + class 37 60103 light loco This loco add-on should be priced at £11.99 (uk) This is because we only get 1 an a half locos like the Cornwall Steam Railtour pack. I would love dovetail games to make this and I am sure a lot of people would too. I would definitely buy this without even checking the price. Thanks for reading!
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Flying Scotsman but I would like to see this. Sadly, the chance of DTG producing and releasing something like this within this year is tough plus Scotsman is very busy this year so I don't think that the NRM will be able to fit DTG into her schedule for getting sounds for this DLC. If we had a DLC like this, it would have to be released this year to be relevant. Scotsman's centenary celebrations will end up like the our late Queen's jubilee or the King Charles' coronation - there will be massive hype for it then once it's all over, nobody gives a toss anymore..
The Scotsman has to be one of the most famous locomotive in the world. DTG released it for TSC, so they already have some data etc on it. I’d love to see the Scotsman on TSW3 and I’m sure it will be a popular/profitable DLC
