    Hello,

I found this problem while trying to play with beautiful Flying Scotsman steam loco in newly remastered West Somerest line, with the route's own cars.

It's almost impossible to start even with only 4 passenger cars. The troublesome part, obviously, was the break of cars can't be released by operating the train break (or automatic break). It seemed the loco's break control did not apply, or "play with" the cars.

If you try to move the train without slipping marginally, yes, you could do this b/c you only have 4 cars, then you would find the cars moved slowly and their wheels didn't rotate, and hear a frictional noise. If you uncouple all the cars off, the loco itself started very easily. Apparently, the car's break wasn't released.

I think it's a bug. Does anyone see the same issue?

Did you open the small/large ejector? I haven’t checked but I assume the WSR mk1s are vacuumed braked.

Oh thanks you reminded me. Do I need to keep ejector(s) always open for vacuumed breakd cars? (I only opened it at beginning for a while to raise the pipe pressure.)

Let me try it out now.

You do need to keep the small ejector open (fully usually or at least at around 30%) to combat imperfect seals in the braking system. If you don’t, air will slowly start leaking in and the brakes will creep on.
