So yeah, after what were considered just rumors, FH5 is coming soon on PS5. I suspect Microsoft is probably just considering stoping the console’s war and may stop being on the console market. There’s one thing we hope is that MFS24 will also be coming to the PS5 ! Forza Horizon 5 showing up now on the PS Store to wishlist only.
played the F out of Forza Horizon 4 once I got the Ultimate version... tons of content, tons of fun, ....load of cool cars I liked... missed the current discounts on Steam cos I spent money on some new content for TSW, but keeping an eye for another round
Played FH5 from the day it came out and am only missing about 8 cars. I think I’ve missed 3 playlists. It’s the only game I still play on XBOX, so, will probably start FH5 from the beginning on PS5 and switch entirely to PlayStation. I’ve already cancelled game pass in anticipation (still 3 months sub left). Good as FH5 is though, I prefer FH4. Currently playing that on Steamdeck and really enjoying it 2nd time around. Assuming that there is a FH6 coming at some point, it’ll be interesting to see if it’s still an XBox exclusive or not.
What "console war" are you talking about exactly? You realize that Microsoft have been releasing multi-platform games for years now, right? Ever heard of Minecraft? Just relax, and try not to have a mental breakdown everytime a Microsoft game goes multi-platform, or you might be in a padded cell before Christmas.
What console war ? The one which consists of having exclusivity for their console in a way to attract more consumers, it’s been a thing since decades and even Microsoft themselves agreed on giving up console war, so we’ll see less and less exclusivities. You can find many quotations from Phil Spencer saying that they’re not interested in attracting people on their platform at all costs and that more there’s no red line to bring game on the PS5 or the Switch. MS were just ahead of the curve, as a firm rooted in the PC market, in pivoting to multiplatform releases. Far too much of the potential market these days, especially in China, is PC-based rather than console hardware, far easier to meet the market where they are than try to get them to drop money on a console. There's always money in every platform you can release something on, so other consoles are always going to be money for you. And it's a trojan horse for getting them into your ecosystem, where they're using your cross-platform cloud saves, etc. Naturally we know enough about the hardware they have in development for next gen to know they're not pulling out of the hardware market, this is just an extension of existing policies going back years.
I’m literally buying this because I have a wheel and pedal set up for my PS5 and not for my Series X. Considering my set up cost me close to £400 quid I didn’t want to spend the same money just to play Forza on the Xbox. Now I can play FH5 on the PS5 finally.
