Found a newer great US route on TSC steam workshop. i ts a huge map Route is Albany NY to NYC has both Amtrak Metro North and CSX river lines along the Hudson river , The CSX line runs Selkirk YD area to Kearney and Croxton NJ there are no scenarios for it yet just can do Quick. Drive s but this route very high potental for those who can create great scenario s I recomend it ..just thought id put the word out
On the TSC steam workshop i went into recently updated page the guy who did the route is,, PennCentral 670 the route is called Hudson Line Extension Csx River sub NYC Albany ..
he has 3 other great routes id like to download but i need a few more routes that required to play He has NEC Washington to Philadelphia..and New Haven to Springfield Mass
Requirements needed for the route: -Hudson Line: New York - Croton Harmon -North Jersey Coast Line -Miami-West Palm Beach -Norfolk Southern Coal District -Donner Pass *It is recommended that all assets are needed because I use a mixture of them for track, roads and scenery. The most important assets for the route to function are Hudson & NJCL for trackage*
There is a fair amount of content esp map route size today in Quick Drive i took a freight from CP SK to Oak Point YD it a137 mile run went down hudson line next i plan to do the CSX river line Kearney Croxton up to CP SK in selkirk Ny the river sub is mostly all new route along west shore of Hudson River very scenic and is CSX s main freight route to NY NJ former NYC
Also there is trackage in ALbany Ny highly detailed you can start a Amtrak run at Schenectady NY 16 miles NW of Albany Rensalear station from there the amtrak hudson line heads to NYC
Did a freight run today up the CSX River sub today started at South Kearny. nJ yards was a 144.5 mile run to CP SK at selkirk yd
Doing a drive with this and setting up another scenario. However pathing seems to be an issue as editor cannot find routes. A passenger one spawns errors on loading saying it cannot find platforms that editor can route to. On a Southbound freight run had to build as a Freeroam as editor cannot find routes. Tried QD but it shows Departures but no destinations. Are others finding this?
When i did QD for first time there were no destination s until i clicked on a departure example first run i clicked depart from CP SK which is the east end of Selkirk yards in Albany Ny .then it came up with some destinations i clicked Oak Point yd in NYC since i was running a 50 car freight train powered with Chessie system Gp40 s from the Mountain. Sub route ..The second QD i did was withe 2 CN SD40 2 s and 25 cars picked South Kearney NJ yd to CP SK via the CSX river line that runs up the west shore of the Hudson river both run s went well no issues for me .Note make sure you have most dlc s routes needed for route to work .i see alrady that route went from no stars to 4 stars in the steam workshop so a lot of people discovered it
Great route will try that. Set up a passenger run which I am doing now after a freight run down West Bank.
The 2 freight runs i did they were 137 miles SK to Oak Point Yd ,the run South Kearney NJ to SK was around 157 miles ,, Did a Amtrak run from Schenectady NY to Croton Harmon ..thats definitely a nice combined route with the CSX freight river line as added new trackage Albany Rensalear schenectady has Kenwood yard think thats the CP D&H yard and Albany ports but dont know if can access those ..i hope some one creates Freeroam s for it as well as scenarios freight and passenger think even most of the large Selkirk hump yard may be there hopefully someone will figure out some scenarios free roam s
The Sk to Oak Point run took me across the large viaduct over the Hudson River then down a connection track towards the Amtrak hudson line various lines and junctions to go
Id like to see more huge community workshop routes like this lots of lines yards freight and passenger ..i downloaded the NEC Philadelphia. To Washington D.C tested that out today its pretty decent too ..
Wierd , no matter what locos I select in QD it always says Incompatible loco and Departure and destination boxes are blank - reinstall?
