Hello, I really would love to see a route, that is in the east of germany. It is the VBB RE 1 to be exact. The route is about 199km long but can be shortend by only doing Brandenburg (Havel)-Frankfurt (Oder). That route would be amazing because: It runs trough Berlin I is very diverse because there are very dense areas (Berlin, Potsdam, Brandenburg, Magdeburg, Frankfurt (Oder)) but then you also have large sections of forests and plains You have many kinds of trains running there. for example the S3 (Erkner-Westkreuz(-Spandau)) or the S7 ((Ahrensfelde)-Ostkreuz-Potsdam) or regional trains like the RE7, RB14, RB22, RB21, RB 23 or many intercity trains and some ICEs to Magdeburg from Berlin Eurocity trains to Poland from Berlin Sleeper trains to Moskow (Russia) /Vienna (Austria) /Budapest (Hungary) freight trains shunting operations There are marshiling yard along the route and a major marshiling yard at Seddin which is a bit south to the main route branched of There is a train care facility at Rummelsburg (for Long distance trains) There is a Yard at the polish border at Frankfurt Oderbrücke There is a train care facility at Lichtenberg (for regional trains which is not on the main route but very close to it, the trains take a loop along the "Berliner Außenring" a rail line circleing Berlin far out of the centre to allow freight trains to go arround berlin, since the "Stadtbahn" (Berlin Grunewald-Ostbahnhof) is prohibited for freight trains.) Now here are some pictures:
