On Xbox how can I move the free cam on external so I can get a better view on pass by like by the crossings.
If you happen to have a keyboard handy you can use the 8 key along the top to get that view. Otherwise if you're using TSW3 I remember seeing a menu option to change the default outside view function of the right stick push. One is head out, one is a followed spot view and the other is the free camera.
For different external views on Xbox using the immersive setup, hold down the right stick and toggle right on the dpad to cycle external views. Left on the dpad cycles through internal views.
I just figured this out by accident the other day while trying to get the game to recognize first person mode in the broken Oakville Introduction service. I am not a fan of it, I liked the TSW2020 Camera menu. Though it was tedious at least you could see what you were selecting.
you can still switch to these controls, just set your control scheme to classic. Although the external camera sensitivity is absolutely insane.
I'm getting used to the immersion camera system now. I just keep switching between views until I find the one I want. Problem is, by the time I figure it out, my screen shot opportunity is long gone. The old system at least let you identify the view before you switched. So, less switching and more accurate viewing. Thanks for the tip on the settings. I am curious now, what are the real differences between Immersion and Classic controls? Is there a quick list?
classic just allows way more freedom, you're so limited in immersion. I really don't like those controls. One big missing feature from immersion is the ability to speed move the external camera, and like you mentioned pick the camera you want
