Im trying to get my German 101 loco on an English route but that doesn't work. Also some other electric German trains won't drive on English routes. You can spawn them but you can't drive (engines are shutdown and won't turn on). I thought there were no restrictions but apparently there are. What can and what can't you do with free roam? Im confused....
yeah makes sense but then it means free roam is not for everything. Also the BR 110 does work on English routes so I don't understand what's the logic behind this?
Free roam is not like off the rails mode. You still need the proper power source to run electric trains. Also some locos are completely broken in Free Roam atm and will not work no matter what route you spawned them on.
Was there a confirmation that free roam would get off the rails? That would give a lot of freedom and fun I think
I do not think freeraom will get off the rails. It is a different concept from scenario planner. You are adding something to the real route, so you need to stick to the rules of the route. It also will use real in game physics, so not all type of couplings will work. More like in real life ...
Have tried to spawn, set path to Ashford and drive the Acela Express in free roam on SEHS but not working for power system
It's not only voltage but also AC frequency. In Germany, 15 kV @16.7 Hz are used. Acela needs 25 kV @60 Hz. SEHS provides 25 kV @50 Hz. (PAL vs NTSC)
TSW simulates this, so far you can only use any vehicle on any route using Scenario Planner "Off the Rails" mode.
I can't see free roam getting off the rails mode considering off the rails mode crashes scenario creator on some xbox's
