Hi all, I'm fairly new to TSW4 & really enjoying the timetable & the many DLC I've purchased etc. so decided to have a look at using Free roam to see what that's all about. Well I'm going to be honest here after having a brief go with it I don't really get it or what purpose it serves other than to go from one place to the other with no station stops in between, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Problems I seem to be having is when I confirm a path & drive there it usually ends up middle of nowhere, literally no other traffic around & has terminated my journey before getting to the end due to being out of the game range/map or something of that nature even though it confirmed my path to that location. I even end up at some remote place with very strange looking large cubed lights on the tracks with UK text above them. I've tried a number of times to run a steam loco with some coaches or some wagons I've spawned in but the steam loco just wont pull away forwards even with all brakes off. Its as if the brakes are on the rolling stock. Maybe I'm missing something to disconnect or connect? I can only roll away by using what ever rolling stock is attached to whatever loco I spawn in. There is no real point or purpose to freeroam - it's just a sandbox area that you can do whatever takes your fancy. If you want to be a little more creative then the scenario creator allows you to build fantasy timetables on any route you so desire with both AI and player trains but (a) it's a bit fiddly to use and (b) arrival & departure times aren't present so you're kind of running services on blank timetables. Alternatively, you could download some user-created content from Dovetail Live (an account setup is required) to get an idea of what is possible within the scenario creator.
