Xbox is offering a free trial of TSW3 which unfortunately ends at midnight tonight but i'm wondering what happens when the trial ends and you still have it downloaded.Does it disappear or just stop working if you don't buy before the midnight hour.
I would assume the free trial gets removed at midnight and then you would have to pay for it or buy the game pass subscription to be able to continue playing although that would remove the game if the next version of tsw4 comes out
No, games are not removed from your console, but they won't start. If you try to launch a game you don't own, you get an error message. This happens a lot if you own games on disc: if the disc is not in, you need to insert it, or else you cannot play. Same goes for digital licenses that expire, like "free play days" or an expired Gamepass subscription.
There's one detail i forgot to mention about this situation i own the TSW3 german route and already had the spirit of steam route so only the US and UK routes where new to me.It will be interesting to see how this works out when midnight comes.
