I saw when I opened Steam there is a free upgrade then reading further down it said I must have 7 other things installed first for it to work. So to get the FREE upgrad I need to buy these other things, bit like Admission free but pay at the door. Col.
Yes I think we need a bit more information. Core updates to TSW4 are free, the usual process is for DTG to rerelease as a new version which means we might get TSW5 later in the year, or they could wait until next year. What you pay for is DLC content but again this always comes with the included content to run it. Yes if you want layers you might have to buy another DLC but even then, that will be an entire product. With the Steam Easter sale likely only a few weeks away I would advise waiting until then. Other than stuff released in the last 6 months or so, most items get between 20 and 65% off so you can grab some real bargains.
Well, not really. Even if it was possible to buy the upgrade alone as "complete the set" from the example below, it would cost around $15 USD for the core alone, given the possible discount of the bundle. The Train Sim World 4 on the picture, known also as "Train Sim World® 4: Upgrade Pack" (with no routes included except Training Centre) isn't available for purchase separately, even for the presented $22 USD / 92 PLN, but just along with any other routes included with it in the bundles, which are always set as "must purchase together", hence they are not possible to be purchased if you already own anything from the set. What he meant was the regular minor core updates happening every week to TSW4. Not an update/upgrade from one TSW iteration to the other.
I don't think so. If you read the whole sentence and not only what I quoted, it's clearly about the updates between major iterations.
I think this relies on that OP thinks it's a free TSW upgrade. It's not a continuation to the former as rather a separate statement. I disagree with the sentence one step later though.
