Ok we all want freedom in TSW. What type of freedom do you wish or want to have in TSW. Is there anything that you want done as a free choice in TSW. Besides of what we have now at the present is there anything that you want to happen as freedom for TSW. I know there are countless of things ppl want done. So what type of freedom do you want really badly.
No invisible walls. The ability to go outside of stations and stand on bridges over (let’s say the GWML) and watch trains running under it, the only issue, is access, unless we got a fly button to speed things up, it’s would take 10 mins to get to a location, really depending on how far from spawn locations.
Dunno if it counts as “Freedom” but to be able to sit on any Bench or Seat in the game. Especially at stations. Sit down and watch the trains coming and going or just listen to the annoying repetitive ambience in the background. (That drives me nuts lol). I suppose you can do this in TSW anyway….. by Standing still. .
I stand in front of a bench then crouch. Until some (insert appropriate insult here) decides to sit on me.
Never thought of doing that. That’s a good idea. I know exactly what you mean by NPC’s barging you out the way. Especially when your in a tight area and they are everywhere and your just being rubber banded all over the place…
I like the God Mod because it allows us give 100000x crouch speed, so I can literally speedrun over the tracks and to any location I want within a minute or so from a spawn point. Miss this in game. Another issue in game is the limited outside camera which doesn't allow us to go far off the tracks, which is bad. Not only bad for trainspotting but also for Photo Mode as angles are limited and can sometimes prevent good shots to happen. So these would be two things to give more freedom to me.
There's a mod for that. Using it, I can tell you they are there for a reason. Scenery drops sharply after the corner. To the OP, since they introduced free mode (works also in timetable), I do have the all the freedom I ever wanted. I can't think of anything else. Would be nice to get AP for free mode drives though. Use the 8 cam and take pics with steam or equivalent. No distance limits there.
Yeah this would be good. I *think* they said they were going to add this to WSR. Hopefully it's a thing going forwards, and forget just going forwards, on older content too! Though I don't understand how the programming side of the game works and if that would be complex to sort, consistency is very lacking across DLC.
There's a mod for this that used to work quite well, although some bridges are no clipping so you fall through them. Dtg did something to the game not so long ago that makes it impossible to navigate on foot, outside the playable areas. So now when I exit the drivers seat, I get stuck in the roof! Dtg I would like my freedom back.
I think I would like to see you can add a custom formation to the timetable. Like if you want to make a custom formation as a flixtrain whit the br 182 ( like me) would be perfect!
Totally agree. I don't know why the act of sitting feels so much better than standing or crouching but it just does. There are a few places that you can actually do this, such as the ECML bridge over Goblin and one single bench at Carlisle. Also the memorial bench on CJP, although that one does not face the tracks. The few benches that work make it a little bit annoying that they are not all that way.
