Cross Border Section




Description
The Freiburg Im Breisgau Mulhouse railway was built from 1847-1878. Reason for this the route is made up to two sections RheintalBahn Freiburg Im Breisgau-Mulheim Baden 29km length and the international section Mülhausen (Mulhouse France written in German Language) to Müllheim Baden via the Eichwald (Chalampe) Neuenburg Baden Bridge 22 km. Electrified in 1965-1981 in two different voltages 25kv 50 hz AC Mulhouse-Eichwald Railway Bridge and 15kv 16.7hz Eichwald Mulheim Baden Freiburg Im Breisgau. Reason for this occurring is that the Eichwald Neuenburg Railway Bridge over the Rhine River acts as the voltage change over point from 25kv to 15kv. Signaling systems are KVB to Eichwald (Chalampe) railway bridge where it ends, then PZB LZB Neuenburg Baden to Freiburg Im Breisgau. Combined distance with these segments are 51 km 32 mi. Making it suited for a Shorter TSW 3 Cross border route.

Zagkks LNG Tanker wagon uses the same principle as the existing Zacns Petroleum Methanol & Jet Fuel tanker wagons. Tare weight is 45 metric tons Axle load is 22.5 metric tons taken from VTG website. Uses the Riesa-Dresden P & G brake settings

For the German Side Route comes with DB BR463 Bult by Siemens from 2016 onwards Comes with Yellow and White Bwget Paint with Deutsche Bahn Logo. Alt paint scheme is a DB Red with VVO VBB stickers on the Side if one owns this route with Riesa-Dresden for the RE18 Cottbus Dresden RE15 Hoyerswerda Dresden Hbf. On this route these will do the Neuenburg Mulheim Shuttle Trips or Direct Neuenburg Freiburg Im Breisagu via Mulheim Baden

Built by Alstom from 2021 onwards is equipped with PZB KVB Vacma. Has the ability to run on Diesel mode in addition to Electric power 15/25kv. If a Rhein Ruhr Osten style Scenario is needed on Freiburg Breisgau Mulhouse Railway to which a Technical failure has destroyed the 15kv 16.7Hz ac & 25kv 50hz AC system you must then run the B85500 On diesel power. Has decals in French and German Languages. Is equipped with KVB VACMA PZB

From the SNCF Website a single Mulhause to Freiburg im Breisagu Trip takes 1hr 4 minutes this is broken down as Mulhouse to Mulheim Baden a 35 min trip then a 29 min trip Mulheim Baden to Freiburg Note SNCF Itinerary site requires the Arrival Field to be Freiburg im Breisgau as the Destination use the To then From is Mulhouse.

Freiburg Im Breisgau to Mulhouse Ville is a Route that should be added in TSW 3 for Various Reasons. First Reason is that it fulfils the community request of exploring parts of France and Germany that is not set in NRW RRO RSN HRR SKA Bavaria Main Spessart Bahn Munchen Augsburg. Hessen Bayern Kassel Wurzburg and France Avignon Marseille LGV. Second reason is that if made Freiburg Breisgau to Mulhouse ville offers a high speed section then a slow speed cross border section with a Voltage change involved from 15kv 16.7hz to 25kv 50hz AC France this includes new trains in the form of 185.1 185.0 BB37000 using the Chalampe Neuenburg Baden Bridge. Followed by the route offering Locomotive interactions at Freiburg im Breisgau Gbf where the existing 363 204 G6 shunt the BB37000 freight waggons then give them off to existing 185.2 185.5 182 this includes route german locomotives 185.1 185.0. Lastly Freiburg Breisgau Mulhouse Railway offers DMU cross-border operations in the form of DB Baureihe 650 641 SNCF X73900 B85500 which makes it different from electric train cross border operations. Overall these are the reasons to why Freiburg Im Breisgau Mulhouse Railway should be made for TSW3.
