    At least someone is satisfied. Me, looking at the upcoming holiday 2 weeks off planed to play some TSW3... and the number of bugs just killed me. Is there any testing program, to participate and get free tracks instead. I found sooo many bugs but honestly... at the same time I am so pissed at developers, I don't even want to make their lives easier for free. Like, how can that be, that in the training session:
    - the task is to connect two cars. i do it... but the icon of "connect" is still there and the step is not passed
    - right at the start of another training session, the guide tells me to get inside driver's cabin, and whenever I go inside, it shows waypoing outside... so I have to get out, reach the waypoint and go back to the cabin. And no matter how long will I wait, the mentioned waypoint will not show up until I get inside
    - the task is to fill up the train... i get to fuel station, yet I am FORCED to get around the train, and open the cap on the side of the train where my fuel hose won't reach... just cause the "task icon" is there.

    FF sake!!!! there are so frustrating, so obvious and so easy to fix. Like... does someone even bother at Dovetaile Games to play ONE TIME through the scenario? Do you have any testers? I may offer my help... nut not for free.

    Sorry but in my 41yo career on this planet, I haven't seen a game with so many, so sloppy bugs.

    I played this scenario on Sunday on PC and I completed it after I saw somewhere that it was broken. Maybe it was yourself. But as I say ihad no problems. Chopper and Change I think it's called on TVL. I think there is a Chop and Change on Bremen Oldenburg. Maybe that is what was unable to be completed? Maybe I am wrong...

    Ah unless it is chop and change on Bremen which I haven't got. If so I withdraw my rather premature thanks.

    You would be surprised how many "bugs" and "ductape" real trains can have with their miles of cables and components. Depends how relevant the errors are, they still remain in operation. TSW is nothing compared to ;). In my career of years in maintenance of railway vehicles my personal mindset was always: If you get into the grey zone as operator / workshop, do never cross the line.
    I scraped axles because they were out of tolerance by 0.000000001 inches, on the other hand went back into service with repaired bogies derailed at 85mph, where the entire 700to train flew into the air. If your personal signature is in the insurrance report, the decision might better not be on the sloppy side lol ;)

    Despite all the bugs, DTG delivers still the best immersion for me with a train simulator, thats why i keep supporting it. I wouldnt say the bugs are because they are sloppy, DTG has just to follow a "red line" for release, else they still would be in the final polishing of sand patch grade.

    As I say I completed Chopper and Change on the Tees Valley Line on Sunday. On PC no problem.

    Sorry, but what's immersive in not being able to finish the basic 10 mins scenario or even redo Silver medal training and change it to gold (I reach the gold score, but game would not let me overwrite the old result). This is literally the first time I want to refund game due to "0 immersion caused by max frustration"

    What is the issue with “Chopper & Change” exactly? I’ve been able to play and complete in TSW2 and TSW3 without issue.

    I think there was like a red light issue which happened as you were moving the loco back and forth. I experienced it too along with some other people. It's unrelated to save game or anything like that. But it worked the second time around for me. For some people it works on the first go and for some, it didn't. I think there is a workaround for it but idk what it is since the forum post was from a while ago

    On the second or third shunt leg heading back out to the spur, a GPL wouldn't clear and when trying to tab past clearance was denied due to section ahead occupied - which it isn't. One solution which worked at the time for some people was to push the wagons all the way through the closed doors (!) of the workshop before uncoupling the loco. Never worked for me though. Maybe it was fixed in a silent update. When I can drag myself away from Simrail, I'll try running it again.

    I just did another quick play of the scenario to make sure I didn't just fluke it the first time. After dropping the faulty wagons off, the GPL was clear. I didn't stick the wagons through the wall or anything, just at the stopping point.

    Hopefully it'll work next time you try but if it doesn't try setting the points manually to the correct path before moving your Class 20 at the start of the scenario. That's the only thing I can think I may have done differently to other players. I don't trust the dispatcher to do it for me after it put me on the wrong sidings in a Clinchfield and Spirit of Steam scenario :D

    Did this ever get fixed. I tried it yesterday and got stuck at the red light. I thought i would try it again and set all the points up before even getting in the cl 20. Whist setting up the points on foot the next task at one point it told me to get into a different train over 900 yds away. I moved a bit closer to the original 20 and it jumped back to that loco. I prodded with the scenario and tried the pushing the wagons through the shed this time (stopped them on the mark yesterday). I stopped the cl 20 within 2 yds of the mark. Uncoupled the wagons that needed uncoupling and was told to head back to the spur. Again i got stopped at ground signal TY177. The dispatcher is being stubborn that there is a train in the section ahead and wont release the signal. I've took a look at the map (no trains) and I had a look at the automatic points ahead of me and they were all set correctly along with any manual points I set. I can see that some people have been able to complete it so there must be a way, just not sure what?! 20230131143013_1.jpg

    Some people have been successful, some have not. I still have not been able to complete it.

    Hi all,
    Since the latest updates (with the red light fix), I was able to complete the scenario this afternoon. It looks like it was fixed for me and hopefully others as well.

    Thanks DTG Matt and the team for all their hard work getting red light fixes sorted.

    And here I thought it was a bug when Sam did that. Maybe DTG doesn't get enough credit for attention to detail.
