I hope TSW 3 will not be repeated in terms of core Tec it uses is implemented. In the way the game renders track , objects , draw distance , lighting. The way routes look is awful. As you might already know It's worse when your travelling at speed seeing track , scenery spawn a few metres in front of you. It feels it's more targeted to keep last gen afloat. So I hope for TSW4 draw distance is vastly better so more track and scenery is rendered , graphics , lighting , how the Tech renders a route is completely upgraded. As for the Xbox Version the sound engine must get a complete rebuild. The current implementation has not solved the issue as there is still Crackles and you can clearly hear the sound loop of audio files in many trains. As for the lighting this needs to be drastically improved it still washes out colour in routes and direct light on trains. Lighting within trains needs improvements. Even ai standing behind the yellow line would help.
I feel like the washed out colours / lighting is just part of TSW's aesthetic now. The lighting is really nice on SEHS and KWG - there's a certain spot at Kassel that looks straight out a picture, and SEHS at night looks amazing as well. Parts of TSW's lighting are good, other parts are less so. It could do with improvements, but I don't think it needs to be thrown out. As for draw distance - yes, it is absolutely in need of an overhaul/improvement. However, considering TSW is often pushing itself to the limits of performance, it could pose problems.
