I started playing Cathcart circle line, and my game crashes when: Driving towards Pollokshaws, frames will drop to 1-3 FPS. Pausing the game at that point will even cause the pause menu to be extremely slow/unreactive at times. Saving and reloading from above situation causes a game crash. Spawning on foot at Pollokshaws East, Pollowshaws West, Queen's Park causes the game to crash. I tried verifying the game files' integrity, removing the game and all files and reinstalling. I'm not using mods. Creating a new profile after a fresh install of the game. None of these have fixed the issue. I'm unaware when that bug could've began as I only recently played the line for the first time. Other parts of the line seem fine for the moment. Other lines perform well. If "Cathcart Circle" is the only one crashing on you, I suggest you update all drivers, and Windows if need be, and if you are still crashing, contact DTG support, provided you're not using a launch setting like -DX12. it's a bit odd that other routes are okay but just this one. i see on google that you are using a handheld device unless they put those cpu also in desktop i have no idea what handheld device is it that you use ?
I did a search again with the APU stated in the OP, and it is two years old now, but Tom's Hardware did a few write-ups on it. Benchmarks Reveal Six-Core Ryzen Z1 Is Optimized for 15W Gaming | Tom's Hardware AMD Ryzen Z1 and Z1 Extreme APUs Debut in Asus ROG Ally Handheld | Tom's Hardware It would appear that it was made for mobile devices, as shown in the second link, it is similar to a Steam Deck.
Yes, I'm using a handheld, a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme, docked and used as a desktop. Windows, drivers are all up to date. I will dig a little further soon, but I do find it odd that it crashes at these specific locations, on a specific route. I have not tested all routes, but the few I play, Cathcart Circle is the only one with this issue (so far at least).
Honestly since its a handheld I wouldn't be surprised if the gfx card is just overwhelmed at certain points in the game, can you play WCML alright? There are some areas in routes that are heavier on the gfx than other parts.
