Epic Games Game Crash On Startup

Playing on epic and like always the new game crashes on startup, not so good impressions from TSW4 so far.

Same issue here; EGS permission screen comes up, but when I click allow, it crashes immediately.

 

I think it may be due to epic not downloading any content, try and see if that works. Im currently downloading some routes

 

Oh come on.

Please fix the starter on Epic Games store instead of sending us on a night-long wild goose chase through our system files.

We obviously do not have any mods installed for the brand new game.

 

That is what the add-on manager shows me:

 

I don't play on Epic, so I can't say for sure, but the screenshot makes it look like nothing is installed.

 

Trying that now, checked all that was available, but contrary to the screenshot tygerways#2596 shared, I only had two SmithfieldXX addons (and the special edition content, of course).

 

I have a plethora of SmithfieldXX entries and below like 62 DLCs.. trying to install the Deluxe Edition content now

 

..result is unchanged.

 

All my DLC's installed still crashing, did devs even try the game on epic... and epic takes like a day or 2 for updates to come so im guessing our early access isn't that early.

 

is anyone getting a message that says allow your train sim world 4 use your epic game account and when you click allow it crashes?

 

I expected more than just a fancy loading screen. Where's the game?

 

make sure you have alll your addons installed in the addon amanager on epic

I'm trying to install all the addons but it's asking for way more space than I think it should.

I am experiencing the same problem. All my addons are installed. Tried restarting Epic. Tried using a different browser. Tried restarting my PC.

Edit: Update today fixed the problem.

 

BTW, the TSW2 core routes (SPG, SKA, Bakerloo) and the 2021 summer pass routes (except for Dresden-Riesa obviously, so Boston and BML) are missing in the list of my available DLCs. Do you guys have them?

Just.. like.. last.. time.. (launch of TSW3).

I do not want to go through this every year anew.

It just feels like Groundhog Sim World at the moment.

 

*cough* Have you tried testing a game before releasing it *cough* It's understandable that a game has some problems, I know being a game dev is not easy. But this is a big company and you had the same problem last year. You should maybe look so the same problem dosen't appear again

 

What is this? And why when I open it (search) it says "No results found."? [Edit] When you open all DLC's it say "No result found."

 

So.. in my list of available DLCs are missing all the routes that I did not buy separately, but as part of some kind of bundle
e.g.

Train Sim World 2:
Sand Patch Grade
Schnellfahrstrecke Köln
Bakerloo Line

Rush Hour Summer Pass:
NEC Boston Providence
London Commuter (BML)
(Nahverkehr Dresden/Dresden-Riesa I have, obviously because it is also part of TSW4)

Train Sim World 3:
Cajon Pass
Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel-Würzburg
Spirit of Steam: Liverpool-Crewe
(Southeastern Highspeed I have, obviously because I bought it as a stand-alone route before the release of TSW3)

This is exactly the same problem that had us players on Epic Game Store wait for weeks after the release of TSW3 to finally get our DLCs.

So – even though I am aware that access to DLCs released prior to TSW4 was only promised for the official release date on Sept 26 –

please, please, pretty please,

start investigating this now

so that we do not have to wait for even more weeks after you finally got the game itself running on EGS.

It is pretty annoying to have to wait like 10% of the game's life cycle until all DLCs are finally up and running.

 

Worst thing is that we don't even get the game early and that we won't be compensated in any ways as DTG care about money not about players

 

I mean, tbh im not even mad at dtg for this as its an epic issue. its just unconvinient. I do hope that it will be available to play tomorrow.

 

I would like the devs to tell/clarify us with what those smithfield things are.

 

I wouldn't even say that.

But running into the same issue twice in a row actually points to some degree of.. lacking diligence towards players on the EGS.

So please let me be wrong about the bundle DLC entitlement issue.

tbh thats not what im most worried about, what if we cant even play tsw4?

 

Most likely some not properly named DLCs (that are missing in the list, apart from the bundled ones).

 

But (if I understand) access to the DLCs you will have on the release date 26th

 

I am quite confident they will fix this eventually, so don't worry.

Maybe at some time when everybody else is already hyped about the next route to be released, but most probably at some time.

I just don't want to start sweeping my DLCs together after the game is finally running.

 

actually that makes sense, as some of us (me included) are missing some dlc, not showing up in the dlc manager.

 

As I mentioned above, I am aware of that.

But the fact that the usual suspects are missing again, other DLCs are already in the list and the number of my DLCs shown in the EGS launcher is short exactly 9 items (TSW3: 66, plus 5 for Deluxe makes me expect 71, indicated are 62), makes me suspect the worst.

 

It's DTG fault not epic it's called blaming it on epic. They implemented the system wrong somehow. They might not agree with the epic way but it's not epics fault

 

Obviously both of them get (part of) our money, both of them have to ensure that we can play what we payed for. There is no point and no excuse in one pointing at the other.

 

I'm so mad!! I pre-ordered, I paid 1,800 Egyptian Pound, to play the game in early access, I cancelled all my appointments tonight, I waited till the timer reached 0 so I can click install, and after downloading only 6 GB (which kinda indicated that something was wrong), the game crashes after loading screen, I'M SO DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY, AND I NEED A COMPENSATION FOR ALL OF THIS.

I had the same problem - CTD each and every time I tried to launch TSW4. A few minutes ago I saw that the epic app itself had an update ready, and after installing it, well, TSW started without problems!

Edit: just seeing that others also are up and running, so maybe just coincidence with the pending epic update :P

Yes, it works now fine! It just don't ask for Permission to epic.

 

I think I broke something why do I have HRR, Dresden chemnitz, antelope,TVL and the vectron installed? i didnt even check those/ i didnt see them in the addon manager

 

ok i fix my issue with the epic game account promp. what i did was i remove the tsw4 desktop shortcut and when in to the c:\programfile(x86)\trainsimworld4 folder and took that trainsimworld4 start icon and made it a shortcut and now the game start up

 

Now, it doesnt ask for permission but it keeps loading forever, doesnt actual start the game

 

yeah, im probably fixing this tomorrow. something is definitely wrong with my tsw4
