Hello, I've recently ran into this problem with Train Simulator Classic where whenever I enter cabview, the game freezes up, it also freezes up my computer as well. So if I wanna get out of the game, I have to force reboot my whole laptop.

    My specs are
    512gb of storage
    16gb DDR4 ram
    Nvidia RTX 3050 4gb vram
    Intel-i5-12450H
    Monitor Refresh Rate: 144hz

I've played on worse specs than this before so I'm not sure if it's on the games end or the computer's end, but I've seen people on this forum who are having the same problems, but can't find an answer. If anyone could help me I'd be very grateful

    "reboot my whole laptop"
Maybe your laptop is not up to running Train Simulator Classic in 64bit mode?

Which route / loco / scenario? It might not be hardware related, though 4 GB GPU RAM could be an issue, needing you to lower your gfx settings. (Aren't the 3050s sold with at least 8 GB or is this a low-budget card?)

Check your NVIDIA Control Panel, and make sure TS is using your graphics card and not the internal mobo gfx chip.

"Freezing" still sounds like you hit a corrupt asset or script though.

I'm also having this problem, regardless of route or locomotive. I have tried running in 32 or 64 bit, I've also tried Uninstalling mods but nothing changes.

It freezes the game on my screen, I can still acess task bar and open other applications. But the image will stay frozen on my screen until I restart the computer.

Update: I turned off dynamic lighting and this fixed the issue.

It happened with me as well and turning off the setting worked for me too, but if I want to run the application with the dynamic lighting on then?

Turning off dynamic lights will make your game appear like it was in Kuju Rail Simulator. No lightsources, rain on glass and AA anymore. That's hardly a solution.

I guess your Laptop is too weak for TSC. An i-5 is low end, as TSC needs a powerful processor core as it's single core. 4GB VRAM is also insufficient and will likely have you to set "Scenery Quality" to much lower settings, using compressed / lower texture mipmaps.
