    History
In the late 1980's GE needed a new locomotive for the market. This engine was the dash 8-40CW. The first unit was delivered to Union Pacific in 1990. Through the next few years since then, the engine would go through many different stages with many different railroads.

    The Engine
The first unit using GE's wide cab or "safe cab" the dash 8-40cw had a maximum of 4000 horsepower. It has a max speed of 70mph which would probably be unrealistically broken in Train Sim World. The first units were built with the turbocharger intercooler and engine cooler on the same cooling system but was later changed to have split cooling systems.
    Overall
This would make a great addition to the CSX team of engines as it has proven itself worthy of it's position on the CSX roster. Being one of GE's more popular engines I think true American railfans will truly appreciate this one of a kind machine. Liveries for this engine would be CSX yn2 2171.1199581200.jpg 21644-07e2de7598249558f1e2c9d137cd81ad.jpg 325abCSX7855.jpg
