I think it's about time that DGT stop supporting Gen 8 and start focusing on gen 9 and pc only I think they should start giving the players what they want longer routes fix the issue with the Frankfurt s bahn and give the gen 9 play the full timetable and update older routes to Tod 4 Lighting or the other option is to build in to tsw Tod 4 upscaling in the background for older routes what I would like to see in TSW the same System like in train sim classic where if you buy route for southeastern high speed it automatically add it to the to make it longer in length why cant we have DLC payed Extensions instead of individual routes just and dear, I had
Even if gen8 gets dropped, it does not mean tsw magically gets better Longer routes require much more dev time and resources which they only have a limited amount. It has nothing to do with gen8 vs gen9. With tod4 lighting, again, it takes a long time to implement. They would need the staff and time to implement and test it. dropping gen8 does not mean every route gets tod4 upgrades. What is tod4 upscaling Selling extensions is more difficult than selling a brand new route. It's like buying the same route twice and players threw a fuss when certain dlc were sold again as an extension. It was also not easy to make an extension in the first place
It's a magic word that you can speak as an invocation, and a route gloriously appears to have tod4 lighting except without actually doing any of the necessary work to rebake everything.
I would disagree honestly, since they can (and do most of the time), not make stuff available on Gen 8
