    Norfolk Southern had many locomotives (except GP9s), but the C40-9 was one of the most interesting locos. It was less powerful than the 4,400 HP Early Bird Dash 9-44CW which came out a year earlier in 1994. It featured GE's DC B13B traction motors. It was the only model in the Dash 9 series to feature a standard cab design. Here is a pic of the C40-9.
